Izuku studies his hands intently, and digs down deep into himself, to find nothing where the flames of One for All usually reside. There’s not even embers, not even a spark of what should be there.
“What if it never comes?” Izuku finally asks, meeting All Might’s eyes directly, “What if we wait forever, and your quirk never manifests? What if I’m quirkless forever?”
All Might’s smile falters for just a second, and Izuku reels back as if he has been burned.

Uraraka isn’t sure why she stares at it; brows furrowed in absolute bewilderment. Her fingers reach before her mind even consciously thinks about it - her body moving on its own. A closer view doesn’t help anything - doesn’t explain why her bones grow cold, or why she gently clutches it to her body with an overwhelming sense of grief.

Summary
Denki Kaminari knows he has a certain reputation.
At best, he’s the goofy sunshine side character known for occasionally turning into a giggling idiot when he blows past the limitations of his quirk. At worst, he’s aware of some of the side-looks, lifted noses and whispered comments about how he’s made a career out of being a bit of a joke.
His rescues of civilians in distress or take-downs of villains looking to cause harm will never have as much societal impact as when ‘Top 10 Chargebolt Fails’ trended online. Or when ’15 best Chargebolt Whey Faces’ gave everyone a new profile picture for the week.
He’s learned to live with it.

Somewhere in the world, the person whose life had been tied to yours has ceased to exist, and fate, efficient as ever, tidies away the evidence. There are support groups. Therapists who specialise in unmet soulmate loss. Memorial charities founded by people who had never managed to meet the person they mourned.
Shinsou never imagined he'd join them.
His stomach turns.
It isn't supposed to happen to fifteen-year-olds.
