Excerpt:
Remus shifted on the sofa next to Regulus, sighing heavily. He leaned over to read the cover of Regulus’s book and then nodded with approval. Pulling out his own from his bag, he folded his legs underneath him. “Good choice,” he said quietly.
“Mm-hmm,” Regulus hummed in agreement. He flipped the page, then stuck his finger in between to mark his spot. “What are you reading?”
“Step by step dog training,” Remus muttered, side-eyeing Regulus with a smirk.
He snorted with laughter, shoving Remus’s shoulder. “No, really.”
Remus held up the book so the cover faced him. He was actually reading a dog training book. Regulus lost it, shaking with silent laughter as he dropped his face into Remus’s shoulder. It was entirely too ridiculous for words.
“Wh-Why?” he gasped out, flailing a hand at his face.
“I think it will be rather useful information,” Remus replied, sticking his tongue in his cheek.

Excerpt:
Remus sighed, brushing Sirius's hair back from his eyes. “You were never too much for me, Sirius. I just don’t know what to say. You’re completely pissed and I don’t want to ruin things,” he admitted.
Sirius’s face lit up, “Really?”
“Obviously, since I nearly attacked you down there.”
“I want-“
Remus covered Sirius’s mouth with his hand and narrowed his eyes. “Don’t tempt me, Sirius. You are in no position to argue.”
“Put me in the position to ar-argue then,” Sirius replied stubbornly, pulling Remus’s hand away.
“That doesn’t even make sense.”

“I’m not being possessive, Remus,” he insisted, falling into step with him. Sirius had to jog lightly to keep up. “I just want people to know you’re with me. That you’re not available.”“Why? No one bloody cares!” Remus retorted, crossing his arms over his chest. He stopped short halfway up the first set of stairs.
Sirius huffed, “I do. You’re my boyfriend.”
“And? Do you expect me to wear a promise ring next? How about I tattoo your name on my forehead?” Remus snarked.
“Well, not on your forehead. That would be weird,” Sirius answered, trying for levity.

“Say it, darling. Tell me what you want.”Choking on the words, Alice closed her eyes. “Wh-What do you want?”
“I want you to give in. I want you to admit that I own you body and soul,” Narcissa said, her voice smooth and confident. “You’ve been running for far too long, darling. Just let me catch you.”
“Then what?”
“Then, I’ll do whatever is necessary to keep you. The world can burn for all I care. I’ll set it alight myself,” Narcissa insisted, her fingers digging into Alice’s flesh.
Alice blinked her eyes open and stared at the intensity in Narcissa’s gaze for a long, silent moment. Then, she whispered, “You’d set the world on fire…for me?”
"My darling, Alice," she said. "I already have."
