Poor Mamoru, he tries really hard. I really like his character, and Yuri's as well. But when you're stuck not trying to make things better, for fear of making them worse things can go south pretty quickly. But their relationship has the potential for a very positive effect as well. It's just trying to strike that balance of moving past the fear of making things worse, without using so much force that you really do cause more damage than good.
