I was wondering if you plan to write multiple point of view, like one following Shepard and the other Kaidan, or just one of them? Either way, I'm sure it will be interesting. Maybe also you do not plan to follow the game but more fill the interstices or "blank space" within. :)
I will utilize multiple points of view. It's such a fun way to get different perspectives on the same character and the same series of events. I'm still working through exactly how much I'm going to worry about plot events vs. focusing on character arcs, but I have opened the door to throwing a lot of canon into the garbage. I'm just not sure how much I want to focus on that part of things. My priority is exploring Shepard's mental health while with Cerberus, and how he gets through it. We shall see! The first part of the next story will focus a lot on the immediate aftermath of the Normandy destruction and how those two years unfold. I'm a couple of chapters into a draft, and it's a lot of angst...
Aha yes, Miranda is so much more than we see at first. I'm curious how you will do but I'm certain it will be interesting. Plus its fanfiction, there's, of course, no obligation to follow the canon by letter if you don't feel like it.
