Summary
Possessed by a mixture of devastation, existing mental health issues, and desperate stress, Izuku makes a terrible mistake. He survived his suicide attempt, and he's genuinely glad for the second chance, but sometimes living is harder than letting go. As for what gave him the second chance... well, he's not entirely sure what to think of that either. With new hope and shattered world views, he continues down the path he originally chose, though this time without the wide-eyed wonder he once held for the world. They say there was nothing they could have done, they didn’t have “suitable quirks”.
Izuku’s anger fuels his need to show them that your quirk, or lack there of, shouldn’t stop you from saving a life.
He loses more and more of himself as he speeds towards the next fight, the next villain. All in the hopes of keeping his dead friends dream alive.
Will it all come crashing down around him? Will he lose himself completely and become nothing more than a shell of his former self? Or will he find people in this life who are willing to help him back to the surface before he drowns?
