It was when everything slipped out of your control and you took it all on your miserable, self centered, foolish self. Like a trash dumpster you are.
Draco Lucius Malfoy believed he's his father's son. Harry James Potter never ceased anger him until he saw the opportunity to prove his worth. Cedric Diggory saw things far beyond others can.
"He was a good friend, he didn't deserve to go like that."
Fast forward to the year 1998, after the Battles of Hogwarts and the start of Death Eater Draco Malfoy's trial.
"A long time ago, two people made a difference in my life. One took a chance on me. He did me a favor, a risky one. He didn't have to do it and I never thought he would but he was willing to help me. Even though I didn't deserve it. The other person helped me see the person who I could be. Helped me see that I wasn't fated to become my father just because I was a Malfoy. They became the first true friends I ever had."One of them asked me one day, if I was going to be a fighter or a follower. Of Voldemort. And I realized that there was no way I could be a follower and I made the decision to be a fighter. But then, I was forced to take the mark. I would rather have died than live with it. I was prepared to die. When Snape told me that there was a way I could help, I wanted to prove to myself that I had been worthy of my friends. That I could still fight, but it would have to be from the other side. So I did what I could, it wasn't much but I tried."
It was unthinkable, almost like the fragments of falsies in Harry Potter's dreams. How is this the Malfoy he always knew.
