"What the fuck are you two talking about? The damn nerd is standing right beside you!"During a battle, Midoriya gets hit by a villain whose quirk detaches his soul from his body. Stuck in a ghost-like state, the boy enters a race against time in order to save himself from permanently dying. Much to his luck - or lack of it -, the only person who can see and talk to him in this state is no one other than Kacchan.

Izuku's stomach turned over. He had told himself a thousand times that this was it. That the next time Kacchan started nesting, he'd shoot his shot. They were third years, and Kacchan was easily his best friend. He was also the love of his life. Every time Kacchan hit pre-heat, courting gifts would flood the dorms and Izuku would watch in terror as Kacchan inspected each one and then crumple in relief when he turned them down.
He couldn't wait on the sidelines anymore and wonder if Kacchan would accept him. He had to try, or else he'd miss his chance and regret it for the rest of his life.

Bakugo Katsuku enlisted young to escape the life his rich family had planned out for him. They never warned him about the dangers. Like losing hearing to the sound of explosions! With an honorable discharge, multiple purple hearts, deaf in one ear and hard of hearing the other, and a lot of PTSD, he found himself floundering.
The system wasn't designed for hybrids who survived military enlistment. After another failed attempt to find a Caretaker capable of handling the violate alpha, Katsuki found himself with former number one H.O.P.E. Caretaker, Midoriya Izuku. A human with more puzzling attributes than anyone else. Never one to back down from a challenge (and a bedroom full of books by his favorite author) Katsuki set out figuring out the green-haired human.
Or at least pretend to be a Good Boy long enough to read all the nerd's book collection.
