Honestly.. they both annoyed me so much for 47,000 words cos I needed them to get their shit together. The original (& quite literal) world building done here was great. Such a slow paced intimate look at both of them, so intimate you struggle to stare it in the face as much as they do. I'm not sure I've read another Dream Husbands fic quite like it, which is why while the process of reading it was tough, my brain comes back to it so often.
Literally — finished reading This Is How We Lose the Time War recently, and for reasons beyond my understanding (possibly the pining and creating aspect) I found myself thinking of this fic so much.
