“I’m home alone.” David blurts out, completely unaware of what Jack was planning on saying. He waits a few moments to speak so that Jack has the time to process that. He, like the gorgeous idiot he is, immediately needs guidance.
“You’re…home alone? Do you want me to come over and hang out?”
“Jack.” He states simply. “I’m seventeen years old, alone at home. My entire family is going to be gone for days, because you know Sarah will stay with Katherine and my parents took Les with them out of town. We have no school next week.”
There is a beat of silence, long and tense.
“Does…does that mean what I think it means?”
“Don’t let anyone see you.”
OR: David and Jack have been best friends for years and are so desperately in love with each other that it's painful. When a planned night out goes to shit, David calls Jack to break the news. However, fueled by a chaste kiss shared at an arcade and years of desperate pining, he invites Jack over to his house under...different pretenses.
