What the hell is going on? (Can someone tell me please?)

Summary:

Scott had never been the most loved in his family. The Goldsmiths always trying to find a way to get rid of him without damaging their reputation and honestly? They just found their way. Not that Scott truly cared, It meant that he was free.

Scott didn't exactly know where he was going, but he found a town he could stay at. Oakhurst as far as he could tell. Though his gut was telling him that something was wrong.

Oh well, anyways, Goldsmiths weren't known for their lies and manipulation unless you were apart of the family, and Scott? Well he was a better liar than his whole family, he just happened to need to figure out a believable lie so the people wouldn't question him.. Did he mention that he just turned 17?

Oh and could this woman stop saying he was a vampire?!

I don't support AvidMC at all, which is why his character is changed to be a female one who is similar but not all that similar to his. That's the only reason for the Original Female Character tag. I just thought to make that clear before you read!

Chapter Text

Scott wasn't exactly sure why he walked to this abandoned town of all places. He was a Noble! He wasn't supposed to be here but yet he couldn't actually find it in him to care that he ended up at this town.

Scott raised an eyebrow as he watched one of the people in the town, he didn't exactly look like someone who observed but he was an Goldsmith. He'd be insulted if he didn't observe, maybe it's why he didn't struggle to find out that the people wasn't from this town.

"I suppose none of you are from this town, no?" Scott asked, making one of the people jump because they hadn't realized Scott was there. Scott didn't show an reaction even if it was amusing to watch.

"No, I doubt anyone is from here, especially since this place is in ruins" A female with ginger hair answered. Scott nodded at the answer, just as he thought.

"Soo, why are you here?" Another person, the one who jumped asked. Scott just looked at him, he couldn't tell them the actual reason. Which meant that he had to make a fake one, a fake yet believable one or he could go for a half truth.

Now, Scott was a Goldsmith, his family and blood was Noble's, and the Goldsmith's all knew they were manipulators and liars, but no one else did unless they found the lies Goldsmith's had said. Scott however, was a better liar than his parents and that said much. He could read them like open books which is why he knows they didn't like him even if they pretended they did.

"Oh, well my family wanted to send me around to different towns and learn about them and they're ways to see if there was anything to be learned" Scott explained, it had been the lie his older brother had told him until his parents announced that they couldn't handle him and kicked him out.

Well Scott had already been aware that they would kick him out, he knew how to handle himself, he was practically raised by the workers his family owned, he wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty and do labor and such.

"Well you have a name?" Another person asked. Scott didn't jump at the voice, he had already known the man was behind him. "Yes. I am Scott" Scott answered, the man raised an eyebrow "Scott?" The hint was clear. He wanted Scott's last name and Scott usually wouldn't say it as it brought ash to his mouth.

"I don't believe I manage to catch any of yours names" Scott said acting as if he hadn't heard the question at all. The ginger haired girl spoke first. "I'm Cleo"

Scott didn't exactly know what to do when he had learned about some girl looking for big foot, a guy with a cursed tongue, a girl who's screaming about vampires and many more crazy people. But then again, everyone's a little crazy.

Scott cut down wood, mostly because his mind was going 100 miles per hour and he had to do something to keep himself at bay and not disappear mentally for the world. He ignored the cut he got on his finger from a sharp stick and he ignored the bruises that came when he tripped over a rock. Maybe wearing high heels here wasn't the best, but hey, high heels are the only type of shoes he wears.

Scott felt a hand on his shoulder and turned around, he would have flinched but he wasn't going to show fear or weakness. "How could I assist you?" Scott asked and looked Abolish straight in the eyes. The hand on his shoulder left but Scott didn't react.

"you're finger is bleeding from a cut" Abolish remarked. Scott only raised an eyebrow. "That I am quite aware of." Scott answered, that seemed to surprise Abolish slightly but the guy hid it well. "Ah, well I just wanted to make sure is all. I shall leave you to your devices and head back to the town" Abolish said.

Scott hummed. "That was kind of you, if you do not mind, I have quite the bit of wood for the town on me and I wondered if you could bring it to them to town for me as you are going that way, I would have done it myself but I won't go to town until nightfall" Scott explained his question. Abolish looked at Scott, clearly thinking of his question and something else before agreeing with himself and nodded.

"I can do that yes" Abolish said, Scott smiled and handed Abolish the wood he had gathered. "You truly are a life saver Abolish" Scott said, his tone being more dramatic than needed but Scott was someone who was liked theatre.

Abolish didn't reply as he took the wood. "Well, I shall leave you on your own. Be safe out here" Abolish said and walked away. Scott didn't answer as he returned to cut down wood. Letting his mind wander while still being in control.

Scott lost his smile and sighed as he planted a new tree. The current trees around the area seems around 200 years old and planted by someone else. Well, trees are trees and they are important for Earth. Might as well replant them.

Scott turned to look at town before venturing out further, his social battery couldn't handle people at the current moment so he was going to try and avoid them for a little bit.

Scott found a cave, it seemed as if someone had already been there from before, but it wouldn't hurt exploring it and seeing if he could find anything, from Stone and Iron, to diamond and emerald. The cave was interesting, the one who had explored the cave, clearly ignored half of the iron. Now Scott can't judge, he's do so himself to let others get some and because Iron wasn't his thing exactly.

Scott felt eyes on his back but decided to ignoring it in hopes of being left alone. He didn't want to speak to anyone, especially someone who's hiding in the shadows

Scott looked at the girl Avani. She had blond hair where some of it was tied in a high ponytail, the girl's eyes were light blue. She wore a white sweater with a green scarf around her neck that was held by a brown coloured flower. Around her neck was a bandage and she wore a green skirt that reached over her knees. She was using brown heels with white puffy straps to keep her feet in the heels. She had gloves on with green ends, and the belt around the skirt was grey with some sort of fabric in a darker gray colour hanging down against the skirt.

It was an interesting choice in clothing but Scott couldn't be the one to judge, what he could do at least, was be offended that he was accused of being a vampire. "Scott's a vampire I swear." Avani said and Scott had to give it to the girl. She had confidence, and she wasn't lying, technically. It wasn't lying if you believed it yourself but at the same time, it was a lie as Scott was very much human.

"I am no such thing" Scott said with a huff, crossing his hands. "Vampires aren't real" Cleo said and Scott had to hide his interest. Cleo was trying to make herself believe it. Now, Scott couldn't exactly say if Vampires were real or not as he's never seen one. He knows that werewolves are real, one of the butlers where his parents lives was one.

Avani didn't seem convinced and kept accusing Scott of being a vampire. Scott sighed before noticing the sympathetic look Owen gave him.. So it seems Scott wasn't the only one accused of being a creature of the night. Scott felt a finger jabbed at his chest and he glared at Avani. "Have you not heard of personal space?" He asked, sure his tone was harsher than needed, but it was far to late for him to deal with this.

Avani flinched at the harshness in his tone and took a couple of steps back. "Now, I'll be taking my leave as it is far to late to be awake and I advice you all to do the same." Scott added, before turning around and left without a single goodbye or sleep well. He was quiet and his steps confident.

Scott made breakfast in the kitchen of his and Shelby's shared kitchen. He had woken up earlier than normal but that didn't bother Scott. He had gotten to the water and managed to fill buckets of water. Enough to shower, drink, clean clothes and clean the dishes.

He hummed a note of a song the Goldsmith's are known to sing as he flipped a pancake. He had asked Cleo if he could borrow some milk from their cows earlier so he could make the pancakes, and had gotten a yes if he shared the pancakes to them and Pearl which he gladly agreed to.

He had passed a couple of chickens on his way back to the village and had brought them to his and Shelby's shared house so he could collect their eggs the day earlier after he had explored the cave.

"Scott..?" A very tired Shelby asked, Scott turned to look at Shelby with a smile on his face. "Good morning, i made ish- breakfast" Scott said, pointing to the finished pancakes on the counter.

Shelby looked surprised at Scott, then at the pancakes, before looking at Scott against with a playful pout. "I'm the oldest here, I'm supposed to make breakfast for you" Shelby said before her face brightened and she walked up and took a few pancakes and began eating them. "When did you wake up?" Shelby asked curiously.

"Ah, perhaps around 5am, I'm not that sure as it could also have been 4am" Scott answered, Shelby looked shocked at the time Scott had woken up to. "Have you gotten sleep at all?" Shelby asked concerned.

"I have, yes" Scott replied, he was confused on the question but didn't show it. "Save some of the pancakes, I promised Cleo that I would give them and Pearl pancakes as a thank you for borrowing milk from their cows" Scott told Shelby, who nodded in understanding.

"What about you? Aren't you going to eat?" Shelby asked but Scott shook his head. "I ate while making the pancakes" Scott explained, though it was a lie. He hadn't eaten at all since he ate lunch the day before and it wasn't much he ate either. But it wasn't as if he would admit that to people older than him and cause an unnecessary drama because he simply wasn't hungry

I was supposed to write it longer, but it's been in my drafts for so long that I just decided to post it
