The Cursed Avatar was struck down by the burning hands of the Princess.
All major Earth Kingdom hubs, Omashu, Gaoling, Ba Sing Se, have fallen.
The Earth Kingdom was under Fire Nation control.
That steady climb, the patience, the hard work that was put into making the people believe in the Cursed Avatar. It was gone. The new hope the people held was quickly fading. The enemy was winning and there was nothing anyone could do.
And all is lost.
That is...
Until those unseeng eyes open once again.
And won't be shutting anytime soon.

Summary
Word of advice to the wise: Do not assume that Toph is weak. Definitely do not taunt her. And above all else, don’t take her away from the only people capable of controlling her.
The story of how some pirates with a grudge failed on all these accounts, how Zuko learned how lucky he was to never go up against Toph, and how Toph got some much-deserved fun and a pirate ship. Although not necessarily in that order.

There are twelve humans in Oakhurst, and one vampire. If there is a thing Scott hates more than humans, it's vampires.
Or: Scott wakes up after a very long nap post Coven massacre. He isn't thrilled to find even more of the people who've caused him so much pain to be running around.
