Summary
After an unexpectedly romantic evening spent secretly in Miranda's company, just before their shore leave on Illium is over, John Shepard finds himself invited to her office the following morning, not only for their regularly scheduled briefing, but for the promise of breakfast - hand-cooked by his executive officer. Yet after the previous evening, both seem to realise something has changed between them. Whilst they had started the mission as nothing more than two officers, then slowly growing to become two friends - two close friends - that one evening overlooking the Nos Astra skyline seemed to have changed everything. In the midst of such a dangerous mission, one everyone knows could spell their end, Shepard finds himself questioning what she truly means to him, is there anything more to their friendship, is she more to him than just a friend, is there more blooming between them than the roses he gifts her?
