Summary
Castiel the Immortal. His name was whispered wherever he traveled. Said with equal measures of reverence and fear. He traveled alone. Always alone.
He wound his way through the dirt roads of Greece, perched like a statue atop his brilliantly white horse. The perfect recreation of a god incarnate. His coming to town was heralded before his arrival. Not by him, but by word of mouth, village to village, nobleman to nobleman.
The rich clung to him, inviting him to their homes and gatherings. Hoping that his nearness might somehow give them notoriety and favor with the gods. That his immortality would bestow onto them something sacred.
None knew him, only of him. -
