Summary
Stripped of his divinity by Zeus and forced to live as a bare-knuckle brawler named Markos Kastor in the freezing underbelly of Chicago, Ares has had enough of watching a decaying modern world slide into aimless chaos. Seeking to overthrow Olympus, his trajectory leads him to the isolating Nevada desert, where he breaks the light-chains holding Nyx—the primordial Sovereign of Shadow—captive for sixteen centuries.
