Aerion Targaryen truly did not believe in wrong places.
He believed in evidence, architecture, locked doors, ugly hallways, and ordinary explanations for ordinary fears. The Backrooms were only internet rot to him—yellow walls, damp carpet, buzzing lights, nonsense dressed as horror.
Until reflections began showing corridors that were not there. Until locked doors opened. Until the world he understood started developing seams.
Later, when he tried to remember where it had truly begun, he would realize it started long before he vanished.
