Chapter Text
When Steph opened the door with her spare key, the first thing they noticed was the mess that once was the couch.
The cushions were everywhere, the kitchen was also kind of messy, there were papers on the floor and various blankets all around the living room.
Titus was sniffing around, probably searching for something after Damian requested.
Steph went to the bedroom and there was nothing unusual, it was messy, but the usual messy, some clothes on the chair, the dresser left open, it was what is usually a bedroom of someone making their luggage for a flight.
She also didn't find any documents or printed flight tickets, so Cass must have them with her.
“Hey guys! There are no documents or suitcase here!” she said before continuing to look around
Damian went to the bathroom, and apart from a toothpaste left on the sink everything was normal.
Dick went into the kitchen, and apart from some food’s packaging everything was normal, no cabinets left open, nothing that would make someone think that the room was searched in.
That left the living room, and after looking around Dick thought Cass must have fought her captors, but why did they also took her luggage
After the three reunited in the living room to discuss Titus barked
“He found something” Damian said while walking towards his dog “Release!” at the kid command Titus gave the object to him.
“It’s a dagger!” noticed Steph “I think I already saw it somewhere…” Dick got closer to analyzing it. “It has the marks of the League” the younger said while petting and rewarding Titus
“Maybe it’s Shiva’s, probably she was here.”
“Maybe Cass wasn’t the one that fought here, maybe Shiva was here to visit her or to do something else, and then she found someone and fought them. That would explain Cass’ missing suitcase and documents” Dick proposed
“So was she taken while in her civilian or while being BB?” Asked Damian
“I don’t know little D” answered Dick
A stomach growling could be heard in the room and the two boys turned around to look at Stephanie “What?! It's the entire morning that we’re walking around the city! I’m hungry!” and Titus in support barked too “And Titus too!”
“I’m also in the mood to eat Richard” Damian agreed
“Ok, let’s go to eat and then regroup with Tim and B after lunch”
And with that the four of them left Cassandra’s apartment.

After hours the meeting finally ended, Tim’s idea was good, the problem was applying it.
Hong-Kong was the perfect city to test this new technology, the problem was the fact that not all people could step on the small platforms that were the main generator and problem of this problem.
First of all this platform needed to be gapless, to stop things from falling inside the mechanism, and because they moved they couldn’t be put on an entire sidewalk, otherwise people with motor disability or parents with strollers, trolley suitcases, and wheelchairs wouldn’t be able to use the sidewalk.
Another issue was where and how to position them, they needed to find a trafficked place where a lot of people would walk through and use them to generate energy, but because of the entire problem of “not everyone can use them” they couldn’t fill the entire sidewalk, and so on.
This project would require a lot of time to be actually applicable, and with that they would have other meetings in the next few days, meanwhile the Hong-Kong division would do their research to make the project possible.
Right now he and Bruce were at lunch, and because he didn’t feel like eating chinese, even though they were inHong-Kong right now, they were eating some chicken at KFC.
He took a box menu with a Chinese version of the zesti-cola, and a fried squid, B on the other end took a normal chicken burger menu with a side salad and he took the squid too after he pestered him.
Right now the two of them were waiting for their order, and Tim was looking at some of the videos Barbara sent him from the security cameras around the city, and he noticed something, or to better say, someone.
“Hey B” Tim called him right after Bruce returned with their food “Lady Shiva’s in town”

They were eating in a vegan restaurants that it’s not pet friendly, but after some discussion with the manager they permitted Titus to stay with them, and they also give him some fish, because apparently here the concept of vegan and vegetarian isn’t really understood, but they don’t serve meat, so it’s a win, at least for Damian who’s vegetarian, Steph took some zucchini noodles and he took a soup.
“I think my theory it’s the most accurate one” Steph said before continuing to slurp her noodles
“Why would Cassandra's parents fight each other in her apartment, Brown?” Damian asked the blonde.
“Oh well, no idea on the why, but it would explain the mess, and exclude it from being her raptors, she was kidnapped in the airport, or while she was going to the airport, it would explain why at her apartment there were no documents, tickets, of luggage”
“Steph is right, if Lady Shiva dagger was there it means she should still be close, and the same goes for whoever she was fighting, maybe it wasn’t David Cain, but someone else, we could ask her if she knows anything about Cass whereabouts.”
Steph and Damian looked at each other before agreeing.

After lunch the two groups decide to meet at their hotel suite
“So you found a knife at Cass's apartment?” asked Tim to Dick “Yeah, and the only messy room was the living room and a little bit of the open kitchen” the acrobat answered
“my theory is that Shiva and that Cain bastard fought in Cass apartment while she wasn’t there, maybe Cain wanted to get her back to continue her training or something, and Shiva found out and went there to fight him” Steph explained
“It’s a good Idea-” Bruce started “But unfortunately Cain it’s not here in Hong-Kong, neither in China or no-where near Asia, but the fact that Shiva found something and wanted to protect Cass and ended up fighting someone in her apartment it’s a good idea, Luckily for us…” and at that he looked at his son Tim to signal him to continue.
Tim received the message and took his tablet to show something on it “This are the screen of some of the videos Barbara sent me, look at them, Shiva is in town”
“So, what do we do? we just go and search for her and ask her where Cass is?” Dick asked looking at his Father
“Pretty much, and if the lead on her fighting someone is correct we can follow it and ask her who she was fighting and why; and with that we go from there” Bruce explained
“And in case she wasn’t fighting anyone?” Damian asked his father “We’ll see, you said only the living room was the only place in disarray, so if it wasn’t Shiva the one fighting maybe it was Cass, and if the dagger, reveals to not be Shiva’s then it means whoever entered Cass apartment must have lost it, and then we go from there, but for now let’s try find Lady Shiva.”
Everyone agreed to that, and after a moment Bruce continued "Did you take a photo of the dagger?” and Dick answered “Yeah, I already sent it to Babs, if she finds anything she’ll call us”
“Good”
“Tonight 3 of us will go out, Me, Tim and Dick, Damian and Steph will remain her and you will search with Barbara help if you find anything on Lady Shiva”
And at that everyone agreed and prepared for that night patrol.
