Chapter Text
Shen Yuan was currently customizing his character while the System screamed at him to hurry up.
“Shut the fuck up,” Shen Yuan snapped. “If I’m dead, I at least wanna look good!”
The System grumbled but, surprisingly, backed off.
Despite telling himself he was just playing dress-up, Shen Yuan was internally spiraling. He had just fucking died. What was he supposed to do—celebrate? One moment he’d been lazily playing some stupid yandere dating game, and the next he’d choked on a meat bun mid-bite. No dramatic last words. No flashing life before his eyes. Just death by snack. And then—pink. A wide, endless pink expanse that made his eyes hurt.
Eventually, the System appeared. Or rather, found him. From what Shen Yuan could tell, it was probably the narrator of the game he’d been playing. And honestly? He couldn’t complain. If he had to be dead, at least it came with customer support.
Before he could argue further, Shen Yuan was dropped straight into the world of Proudly Obsessive Ways of Binghe.
The premise was simple and painfully familiar. It followed the usual script: a protagonist, a bunch of potential love interests, branching choices, and endings that were supposed to be bad, good, or okay. Except the game was a fucking liar. No matter what you did, no matter what dialogue options you picked, you always ended up with the protagonist—Luo Binghe.
Luo Binghe: a bullied, soft-spoken boy at your school. You helped him during the early chapters, defended him, comforted him, watched him slowly fall in love with you. And honestly? The beginning was actually good. The storytelling was solid, the pacing was nice, and Shen Yuan genuinely enjoyed it.
Then everything went to shit.
Once you “ended up” with Binghe, the game turned into a nightmare. You weren’t a partner anymore—you were competition. You had to fight off other women for him, one after another, while the game forced you to watch him woo every single girl he encountered. And he encountered a lot of girls. It was exhausting. Infuriating. Completely pointless. What was the point of choices if there was only one ending? Most of the game was just the player sitting there, watching the protagonist build a damn harem.
The only upside? It was open-world.
Basically Earth—if Earth were entirely Japan-flavored and filtered through shōjo anime logic. Shen Yuan couldn’t complain. He’d always wanted to go to Japan, and honestly, being out of China was a plus.
Then the realization hit him like a truck.
He wasn’t just in the game.
He was Shen Qingqiu.
The antagonist.
Well—antagonist was a stretch. Shen Yuan had always thought Shen Qingqiu was the only character with common sense. He warned girls away from Luo Binghe. Told them something was wrong with him. Tried to hide them, protect them, keep them safe from Binghe’s obsessive, yandere tendencies.
Shen Qingqiu was the voice of reason.
And what did he get for it?
He was murdered.
Killed by Luo Binghe during his “procurement” of girlfriend number 859.
Shen Yuan stared into the metaphorical camera of his own miserable existence.
What the hell was he supposed to fucking do now?
my version >>>
Shen Yuan was, currently customising his character as the system was yelling at him to hurry up “shut the fuck up if i’m dead I at least wanna look good!” the system grumbled and backed off. Despite Shen Yuan supposedly planning to just dress up he actually was panicking internally, he just fucking died! What the hell was he supposed to fucking do celebrate? He was just playing some yandere game and before he knew it he choked on the meat bun he had been munching on and was in a wide pink expanse. Soon the System, which presumably was the narrator of the game he was playing, decided to look for him. And Shen Yuan couldn’t complain. Soon he was transported into the world of Proudly Obsessive ways of Binghe, it followed the usual script for characters there would be many suitors for the character to meet and usually they would end with a bad, good, or an okay ending but the problem with Proudly Obsessive ways of Binghe no matter what you did you end up with the protagonist, Luo Binghe a bullied young boy at your school who you help out, during the first parts of the story, which were actually really great story telling the story ended up progressing in a manner that was just disappointing, because after you end up with Binghe you would have to fight other woman for Binghe which would end up disappointing people even further because he collected every single woman he encountered. What would be the point if there was only one ending, not only that most of the story was just the player watching the protagonist woo other girls!!!! Shen Yuan was glad to hear that this was an open world, it was basically earth, if earth everywhere was in japan and giving shojo anime’s which Shen Yuan couldn’t complain with he’d always wanted to go to japan and didn’t really mind he was finally out of china. The only problem was that he was Shen Qingqiu..the antagonist of the story!! Well Shen Yuan couldn’t exactly call Shen Qingqiu an antagonist because he was the only one with common sense in the story, always telling girls to not go towards Luo Binghe and warning them that he was a danger and trying to hide them from his yandere likeness…Shen Yuan was glad to be the voice of reason!!! But Luo Binghe ends up killing him during his procurement in girlfriend number 859! What the hell was he supposed to fucking do!
