“Vidi, et ecce, equus fraxinus; et qui sedit in eo, habuit nomen Mortis; et Hades sequebatur cum eo.”
A miracle.
Is it the impossible made real—the brief defiance of nature, if only for a moment?
Or is it something smaller?
Perhaps miracles are only the wishes of those unwilling to accept an ending.
Coco didn’t know anymore.
Even the warmth of her mother’s hand had begun to feel far away.
Once, it had been enough.
