Summary:

After the failed siege of the Northern Water Tribe, Zuko is left for buried beneath ice and snow, far from anyone who would come looking.
He should have frozen and turned into a flaming icicle but instead, he wakes up to see you.
He thinks you're non-verbal and you think he's a very hot-running non-bender with a bad temperament.

Here you're a waterbender (who should probably know better). To him you're a stranger who lets him stay.

 

He thinks you’re non-verbal.

And you think he’s just… weirdly warm for a non-bender.

However, neither of you are particularly eager to correct those assumptions.

 

You're in hiding but don't know his identity and he doesn't know yours.

Raised in a world where women hold power, and he, raised in a world that conquers, never meant to need someone like you.

But the cold doesn’t care about war. Although the cold doesn't really bother you it seems, you do care.
