Pain is real, grounding him to reality, to the present. Jabber can ignore the pressure all he wants, but someday it won't be enough to substitute what he feels.
Jabber's supposed to worry about Amo and that new boy she likes, working, pleasing the court to keep custody of Amo, keeping his grades in line, and his illegal fighting activities were already gonna be enough, why does he have to worry about the new stranger who won't leave his damn mind. Damnit it was supposed to be a new school year. Why does he gotta be attracted to those blue eyes that seem to see right through him?
