Summary
If he closes his eyes he can hear the sounds of the city all around him. The people walking in the streets, the music of bars, the sirens of a police car, a baby crying. The sounds of life. He's trying hard to feed off of it, to swallow it down and let it transcend him, reignite something. But nothing comes, he stays hollow, like he has been for the past few months.
