Summary
Every year Alfred chooses someone to do the honours of spinning the wheel- (using a random generator) to pick a date to be named the “Day of the Robins”.
Basically where everyone who has ever been a robin- and some who haven’t- get their hands on a Robin costume and go out to terrorise the masses. (Certain past-robins who are a little more reluctant to relive that particular experience are allowed the joy of their own Batman parody.)
And that’s great and all, hilariously fun- but Dick is a little preoccupied right now.
(I mean, when you go undercover, you can’t exactly bring your calendar with you, so you kind of have to keep all the important dates in your head- and, well, Dick was just really hoping that someone would come and collect him, because he’s definitely forgotten.)
Or: Dick is just vibing in NYC with the WC team, until he (and of course the rest of the team, because I love dramatic reveals almost as much as I can’t write them,) is elaborately dragged off to go participate in the annual “everyone is Robin and we’re going to go mess with people” day.
