This book follows the SOA timeline, but nearly all events from Mystic Falls and New Orleans happen before SOA season 1 episode 1. This crossover will be a slightly alternate universe with all three shows. SOA, Vampire Diaries, and the Originals.
This book is a variation of the life of my original character, Sonya Teller. Originally, when I wrote the Sonya Miller fan fiction, there were no crossovers in mind at all. 60,000+words into that one, and I had decided to cross it with the Pretender. In early June of 2025, I was having a conversation with a coworker, and I made a comment that I had thought about maybe attempting to cross that character with another series. From that conversation, I had 6 possible ideas. Some are more developed than others. Since then, I have come up with 3+others. Each will start roughly the same, but will quickly morph into the crossover, then go back to Charming. I made changes to each variation to flow with the story I had in mind for each one. I also have two different variations for the beginning of this story. I may post the other at some point.
In this one, Jax, the eldest, was 16 when Sonya and his newborn daughter were abducted. Thomas was 5 years younger than Jax, and Sonya was 7 years younger than Jax.
I have decided not to select face claims for Sonya and Lacy characters for this story. My intention was for my main original characters, Sara/Sonya and Lacy/Lucy, to look very much like their birth mothers, Gemma & Tara. In Sonya's case, she looks very much like Gemma, not exactly, but enough. Enough that, considering the unknown fate of Sonya Teller, anyone who saw her would ask questions. Similar facial features and body type, but with lighter skin tone, blond hair, and blue eyes, her attitude and personality is very similar to Gemma. Lucy / Lacy, who looks very similar to Tara with dark blond hair and blue eyes with an attitude that is similar to Gemma's. I tried to find pictures of Katie Segal and Maggie Sif from when they were younger; however, I did not find any. I will keep looking. Picture Katy Segal and Maggie Sif when they were teens with blond hair and blue eyes.
Synopsis
Sonya Forbes / Teller is the daughter of Gemma and John Teller. Shortly after John's death, Sonya, who was 7 years old, was abducted, along with her newborn niece. Her abductor, Amber Miller, takes the girls to Mystic Falls and hands them over to Dr Grayson Gilbert to be test subjects for his experiments. Sonya and Lacy grew up in the shadow of being test subjects. Sonya was treated badly after the truth of Dr Gilbert's experiments was revealed. After Sonya meets Klaus Mikaelson, her situation improves. Just before Liz dies, she reveals to Sonya that she and Lacy were abducted. Sonya returns to Charming.
