Chapter Text
Jeonghan was pretty accurate. It took about another fifteen minutes before Seungcheol was groaning in pain, his eyes squeezed shut as he tried to push the pain away from his body. It took only ten seconds for him to realize Chan was in the room. When he did, his eyes opened immediately, somehow perfectly on where Chan sat on the bed. At first, he didn’t move; he just stared at Chan like he was a hologram. Jeonghan remained in the corner of the room, off to the side but close enough where he could intervene if anything went wrong. Not that Chan thought anything would; he trusted Seungcheol, and apparently he couldn’t really die. Surely that meant there had to be some give in what could happen to him, right?
Chan decided to make the first move, smiling gently at Seungcheol as he scooted closer. “How are you feeling?” He asked, even though it was a dumb question. Seungcheol was flushed, not just on his face. He was clearly naked under the thin cover that was on his lower half, but the skin that Chan could see was completely red. His eyes were also clearly darker, or maybe it was an illusion from having all of his attention on him.
Seungcheol didn’t answer, but he sat up. Chan’s breath hitched as Seungcheol leaned forward, his nose dipping into the side of his neck. He felt the faint glide as Seungcheol drew a deep breath, his breath warming his skin. Chan tried to stay as still as possible, tensing his body up before he was twisted, thrown on his back facing the other way. A gasp left his lips almost as fast as Seungcheol caged him in, both arms beside Chan’s face as his left leg split his legs apart.
Chan blinked, staring up at Seungcheol. He could physically see him processing, the mental dilemma written clear on his face. It relaxed Chan a bit and amused him. He had never felt a rut before, but it was clear that it was painful. It was cute that Seungcheol still seemed to be conscious in a way of how he was doing. “It’s okay,” He whispered, looping his arms around Seungcheol’s neck. “Don’t hold back.”
In the corner, Jeonghan smirked, biting his bottom lip to keep any noise out. He didn’t want to distract them, but he had to admit watching what he had been told in passing in action was amusing. It was no secret to any of them after Chan’s little dream that he was a bit of an addict to pain, but Jeonghan couldn’t help but wonder just how far that went.
That seemed to be enough for Seungcheol, luckily. He leaned down again, immediately marking the sides of Chan’s neck. It was rough enough to force little noises out of Chan, his hands dropping to Seungcheol’s shoulders in an attempt to stay still. Even then, it was hard; he found his legs moving slightly, whether towards or away from his boyfriend he wasn’t sure.
“Something’s wrong,” Yeosang whispered, glancing around the front of the apartment. “Their scents are so faint.”
“Wooyoung is literally behind me; how’s that even possible?” San asked, causing Wooyoung to peek around his shoulder. He was half asleep, being that the events that led to them reuniting made his brain stay alert for far too long. He simply shut down the idea of even trying to process it when Yeosang started confessing as well.
“A blocker?” Yeosang suggested, touching the front of the door. “But I’m not sure where. Or why? A blocker is usually protection, but if it was ours it would feel familiar to me. This feels cold, someone I haven’t met before.” San frowned, reaching behind him to hold the tips of Wooyoung’s fingers.
“Is that a problem?” Wooyoung asked, not really understanding where the conversation was going. San shook his head, forcing a smile on his face.
“No,” He said gently, squeezing his hand as he enveloped their hold. “Not at all.”
When Chan had learned about their different supernatural identities, he gladly took the books offered by Joshua to do research on his boyfriends. He felt safe with them, obviously, but if he was being honest, he didn’t know what they were. Everything he had heard about the supernatural world was by humans, and obviously these humans did not have real-world experience. The omegaverse online versus the two wolves in the room with him were a testament to that.
Chan’s breath hitched, his eyes squeezing shut as he tried to stay as still as possible. Any time he moved, Seungcheol would growl slightly at him. It wasn’t malicious; somehow Chan could feel that he was complaining more than threatening. Seungcheol lay in the crook of his neck, sniffing gently every few seconds. He would move, sniff, and on occasion lick and nip at the area he was in. It was driving Chan insane. To add to the fire, Jeonghan sat in the corner with his arms crossed, staring to the point Chan didn’t feel like he was blinking. Seungcheol dipped his head, groaning against Chan’s exposed collarbones. Chan opened his eyes finally, daring to tilt his head enough to see the top of Cheol’s.
“He wants to bite you,” Jeonghan spoke up, crossing his legs. “He just won’t admit it.” Chan frowned, blinking. As if reading his mind, Jeonghan shook his head. “Not a hickey. A bite. Not sure what his fangs will do to human skin; they’re stronger than vampires.” It was an open-ended question. Jeonghan didn’t ask his opinion, but both seemed to wait for it. Another thing Chan quickly realized was that Seungcheol could speak; he was just choosing not to.
“You can bite me,” Chan whispered, cupping the sides of Seungcheol’s face. His eyes were hazy, his lips swollen from his teeth digging into them. Chan had given him plenty of permission, and the alpha was still holding back. Chan had a feeling not much would change his mind; Seungcheol saw him as fragile. However, he had come to help him, and he was going to figure out how to. “Alpha,” Chan said gently. Seungcheol stiffened almost immediately, but he didn’t pull away. “Mate me.”
“We should ask Jihoon for help, or maybe Seungkwan?” Yeosang offered, digging in his pocket for his phone. Before he could, an offended voice echoed down the hall.
“Really? Does no one trust ghosts around here?” In a flash, Seokmin appeared by Chan’s door, crossing his arms. Soonyoung poked his head out the door, waving sheepishly.
“Uh…we were hanging out with Chan before Seungkwan took him back to the house. Or at least I was. Seokmin kinda just…appears.” Soonyoung explained, rubbing the back of his neck.
“I beg your finest fucking pardon?” Wooyoung questioned. San’s eyes widened at the sudden spike in his heart rate, turning to see Wooyoung completely focused on the two.
“Well, you’re talking about shields in front of the human, so cat’s out the bag, right? Or bat? Dog? Who got caught first?” Seokmin questioned, gaining three unimpressed looks. “What?”
“Cat’s out the bag for us, not you guys…You’re going to kill him by shock at this rate…” San mumbled, not even fighting as Wooyoung stepped towards the hallway.
“You! You two-” He paused, glancing between the four. “You’re all fucking magical?”
“One way to say it, Seokmin is just kinda a cursed dead guy.” Soonyoung snickered, yelping at the small flick to the back of the head his comment earned him.
“Everyone Chan is dating?” Wooyoung asked, gaining two nods. “Does he know?” Another nod. “What. The. Hell!”
“Can either of you two recognize the barrier on the apartment? I know no one from your pack did it; I marked all your scents.” Yeosang interrupted. Wooyoung deeply inhaled, trying to steady himself.
Soonyoung sighed. “No, you’re right. It’s familiar, but not a feeling I recognize. It’s none of our magic directly, but I felt some of our influence, which is why I stayed back. Not only that, but it’s new, likely formed within the last few days. Any visitors?”
“Not that I physically saw, which apparently means nothing in this house,” Wooyoung grumbled, eyeing Seokmin.
“Jeonghan,” Seungcheol swallowed. “Stop me if I hurt him.” Seungcheol’s voice was rough; it caused the hairs on Chan’s arms to stand up. Chan sat up, pulling his shirt over his head. “Han,” Seungcheol repeated.
“I’ll stop you, but I think he wants you to hurt him.” Jeonghan teased, almost pulling Chan’s gaze away. Almost. Seungcheol’s eyes were glowing lightly, a faint red. They were beautiful, hypnotizing. He felt like he was being sucked in, unable to look away even if he tried. Seungcheol broke the spell himself, closing his eyes as he leaned forward, gently kissing Chan as he pushed him back. Chan let himself fall against the pillows, a happy hum leaving his lips as they got back into the position they had been in before.
This time the kiss quickly roughened, Seungcheol becoming more aggressive with his hands just as quickly. Chan let go of all control, letting him do whatever he wanted. He sighed against his lips as Seungcheol pulled his pants down, letting them pool at his ankles. Chan’s body was beginning to heat up all over, the coldness of the room barely affecting him anymore with Seungcheol’s warmth engulfing him. His breath stuttered as he felt Seungcheol’s hand dip into his underwear, teasing. He was slow, far too slow for the breathless kiss he was being given.
Seungcheol broke the kiss, dipping his head again to the crook of Chan’s neck that had quickly become his favorite spot. “Breathe.” That was his only warning. The next second, Chan felt a faint prick, followed by a rush of pain as his skin broke easily under the pressure of Seungcheol’s fangs. Chan winced, letting out a loud gasp. Seungcheol quickly held him down, preventing him from moving at all, holding the bite in place. Chan had expected it to be quick, but he felt a rush go through his body the longer Cheol remained. Like a drug had taken over his system, his body began to feel as if it was floating. Then, the heat. His already hot body suddenly felt like it was in a hot desert, as if a sun was beating on them.
“Seungcheol,” A faint voice called out. A few moments later, Chan recognized it was Jeonghan, but it wasn’t a warning to him. It was an alert. Seungcheol slowly released, licking over the deep wound in Chan’s neck. As he pulled away, Chan felt floaty, whining as his warmth disappeared slightly. He was hot, but the idea of Seungcheol leaving irked him more. “Slick.”
“That’s not possible.” Jihoon mumbled, pacing the apartment. Turns out a witch, vampire, ghost, and omega truly weren’t the best team when it came to shields. There was no energy for Soonyoung to pull from, so he was practically useless when it came to figuring out where the source was coming from. Jihoon arrived easily, but now he seemed to be more confused than they were. “It’s Chan.”
“Chan’s?” They all echoed. Jihoon nods.
“I can feel his soul energy coming from the shield. It’s his; I just don’t understand how he formed it.” Jihoon continued.
“No, no way. I might not have figured out you guys, but my best friend is human.” Wooyoung argued.
“Yes, he is. Which is why…I’m confused.” Jihoon sighed.
“It’s not a cover-up? Someone using his scent to lead us astray?” Yeosang countered. To that, Jihoon shook his head.
“Impossible. I would smell it; it would be almost as if his scent was artificial. Like a candy apple versus a real one, you can smell the difference.” He explained. “The only way this is possible is if he somehow got the mana to make a shield, and his body unconsciously wanted to protect his home.”
“How can a human even do that?” San frowned.
“They can’t…not a normal one,” Jihoon admitted before looking up. “But Chan was experimented on.”
“I’m sorry, repeat that?” Wooyoung asked.
“The testing altered his DNA. There’s a possibility it made it to where his body feeds into our energy, as if it’s a drug. When we interact, it seeps into his system and temporarily gives him enough to have mock abilities.” Jihoon continued.
“You’re losing me. What does that even mean for Chan?”
Jihoon paused, his expression turning slightly worried. “It means any interaction with a supernatural being will seep into his body. Think of our energy and power floating in the air like a perfume, and it's going into his skin. It won’t last forever, but the more you spray, the stronger it is. It means Chan can channel our abilities, to a certain extent, if my theory is right.”
“Which means…the more intimate we are…the worse it gets, right?” Seokmin clarified. Jihoon nodded, causing Soonyoung’s eyes to grow wide.
“Oh my god…Chan is fucked.”
“Please,” Chan whined, wiggling underneath Seungcheol. He didn’t understand why Seungcheol wasn’t moving, or doing anything. Quite frankly, it was hard for him to even understand what he was saying, their voices going in and out as he tried to focus. He lay there naked, but even that wasn’t helping the heat radiating off his skin.
“How is this possible? He smells…sweet.” Seungcheol whispered, gulping. Jeonghan’s enigma hold was the only reason he was conscious. Without his scent keeping him in check, Seungcheol would have pounced on Chan the moment he had walked in the door. “I put him in heat?”
“I…I’m not sure,” Jeonghan admitted. He watched as Chan parted his legs, a clear shine between them. “It’s harmless now; if he truly is in heat, you need to help him. I’m going to release-”
“No!” Seungcheol cut him off. “Heat or not, he’s human; I’ll hurt him.” Jeonghan rolled his eyes, crossing the room. He leaned over the bed, glancing at Chan’s face. He was still dazed, almost matching how Seungcheol had looked before concern won. Without a word, Jeonghan lined up three fingers by his hole, pushing slowly inside. Seungcheol couldn’t even stop him, but there was no need. Chan quietly moaned, his back arching off the bed as Jeonghan’s fingers easily entered, a new rush of slick running to coat them. He pulled them out a second later, causing Chan to make a pitiful whine.
“Not normal. That should have hurt him, or I shouldn’t have even been able to do that.” Jeonghan said, keeping Seungcheol’s gaze as he lifted his fingers to his mouth, a dark expression on his face as he licked the slick clean. “Delicious.”
Seungcheol turned a bright pink, quickly looking away. Jeonghan had a way of resetting his brain, and he couldn’t let that happen right now. “F-Fine. If you trust me.”
“With a human, no. With our Chan and whatever he classifies as, yes. I’ll feel it through our bond if something is wrong.” Jeonghan leaned forward, gently kissing the side of Cheol’s head. “Have fun, you two.”
Chan’s eyes briefly fluttered shut, the feeling of warm hands around his waist easing the needy feeling growing inside of him. He forced himself to open his eyes, locking eyes with Seungcheol. The red tint was back, but now instead of a faint glow, it was full force. Chan shivered, lifting his own arms to pull him closer. “Please…” He repeated, much quieter than before.
Seungcheol growled, a low rumble that soothed Chan’s nerves before he was hiking Chan’s left leg over his shoulder. Seungcheol tilted his head, kissing from the bottom of his calf up towards the start of his thigh, leaving ticklish marks. Chan could feel his cock rub up against his entrance, never fully breaking through. He let out a whine, words no longer coming to him easily.
“Fuck,” Seungcheol whispered under his breath, lining himself up. As he did, Chan hiked his right leg up to match, trapping Seungcheol in between. It made Seungcheol smile, leaning to kiss the puffy mark on the side of his neck.
Chan’s lips parted in a silent moan as he felt Seungcheol push in, agonizingly slow. The pleasure was immediate, as if his body was molding to the shape of him. Chan tightened his legs, biting at his bottom lip as all the air in his lungs tried to leave. Seungcheol stopped when he was all the way in, resting his forehead against Chan’s.
“Baby?” He whispered. Chan responded with a content hum, his eyes fluttering shut again. “I don’t know why I’m still so…here…and you’re not.” His words made Chan try to focus. It was like tuning a radio, and he just wasn’t quite there yet. He wanted to get lost in the feeling; he trusted Seungcheol enough to.
“Fuck me,” Chan managed to open his eyes, looping his arms around Seungcheol’s neck as he let his legs fall towards his waist instead. “Please-” Seungcheol snapped his hips forward, the rest of Chan’s sentence falling short. He picked up a quick pace immediately, faster than Chan could have prepared for.
The sounds Chan made with each thrust were like heaven to Seungcheol’s ears. It made him want to break him, to push him to make noises he didn’t even know he could make. Chan clenched around him, his body attempting to suck Seungcheol back in every thrust, even as the swelling of his knot began to form at his base. “Fuck!” Seungcheol groaned, letting his head fall into Chan’s shoulder.
Seungcheol was big. Bigger than Chan could have imagined, and far more than he had anticipated, even with raising his expectations. His rut made him even bigger, and while the drag should have been painful, Chan was on cloud nine. His body began to shake as it drew closer to his release, his moans growing in pitch as he tried to catch his breath. Seungcheol’s hand snaked up his glistening chest, resting at the base of his throat before squeezing. His airway cut off instantly, sending a rush through his body.
Chan’s entire body locked up, his mouth falling open as his cum painted their bodies. Seungcheol loosened his grip enough to let him breathe faintly, still holding enough pressure that it wasn’t easy. His legs fought against the alpha’s thrusts, slower as his knot built bigger and bigger. Tears began to form in the corners of his eyes, overstimulation pushing at his nerves. Then, Chan felt Seungcheol grow inside of him, a rush of warmth shooting inside as he came, forcing his hips forward.
Seungcheol let go of his throat, supporting himself, hovering above Chan to not crush him. Chan blinked, the waves of cum he could still feel entering his body somehow making his fuzzy feeling clearer by the second. When he could finally focus, a goofy smile popped up on his face. “Alpha,” He said softly, watching as Seungcheol’s eyes darkened.
“I like that a bit too much,” He admitted, dipping down to gently kiss Chan’s forehead.
“Did I do good? Do you feel okay?” Chan followed, feeling the heat in both of their bodies dying down.
“You kept me sane, which I thought was impossible,” Seungcheol smiled, nuzzling the side of his neck. “I love you.”
It took a second.
“Y-You do?” Chan asked. His mouth somehow realized what Seungcheol had said before his brain did. Then, his body. The tears that formed earlier were immediately replaced, flowing down his cheeks before he could even stop them.
“Woah, woah!” Seungcheol panicked, pushing himself up to hover again. “Are you okay? What did I do?”
“No, no-” Chan paused, blinking the tears out of his eyes. “I’m emotional, sorry, I don’t know why.” He took in a shaky breath. “I love you too.” Seungcheol watched him, sniffing the air. It was faint, but he could feel that Chan was relaxed. He could feel the faint tug of affection running through his body, the sense of being at ease. Safe. So he relaxed, lowering back down.
“Are we going to wait to talk about what happened?” Seungcheol asked, running his fingers through Chan’s hair. Half of it was drenched, as if the sweat was meant to be styling it. Chan nodded, feeling the lull of sleep try to pull him in. He didn’t want to deal with another crisis at the moment. “Good, let’s take a nap.”
Chan let Seungcheol pull him to his chest, careful to keep them connected. His warmth was mild now, comforting like a weighted blanket. In seconds, he felt sleep overpower him, his body letting go. Seungcheol watched as he fell asleep, thoughtlessly running his fingers over his hair and shoulders. For a moment, he had an omega. Now he had Chan.
