Summary
Percy Jackson-Wayne was taken in by Bruce Wayne after Batman rescued him from his abusive step father, Gabe. He grew up with two amazing older brothers, Dick and Jason. Anytime he got into trouble, his family was always there to bail him out. Monsters avoided Gotham (something about the crazy people), so his childhood was fairly peaceful.
Things changed when Jason died. His Dad shut him out and sent him off to boarding school. Soon, Monsters started showing up, and he only got in more trouble. Eventually he ended up at Yancy Academy and befriended a boy named Grover.
It all went to crap from there: Gods, Quests, Wars, Giants, even Tartarus.
Now, after years of fights and running, Percy just wants to come home for real. He misses his Dad, his brothers, his home. He literally went to Hell and back, now all he wants is to be with his family.

A new & refreshing breather when it comes to PJOxBatfam fics. It still follows plot line of ‘P gets raised by B after S dies as a civilian and goes back once he realizes J is alive’ but it handles things differently w. P leaving the Manor later and actually utilizing the mist (and the mist being semi-effective) on the Batfam. I really liked this detail because usually the Mist is… practically useless in these fics. Like it isn’t some divine power made for the whole sake of fooling non-clearsighted mortals. But this fic actually talks about the mist/utilizes it/works with it and I really love that!
We aren’t actually back at the point of P returning to the fam yet, and fic follows a ‘flashback Ch, current Ch, flashback Ch’ kinda style which does slow it down but also tells the reader what happened without the typical ‘we start from scratch chronologically slow-burn’ style. Still considered slow burn since we are still not where the description hints at, but yeah. Characterization goes damn good as well. Like seriously. It’s not a character study fic (though I am not saying that the author may have not done a character study because it really reads like they did—), or at least that doesn’t seem to be the focus, but the characterization is GOOD (‘accurate as hell’, or ‘feels authentic af’).
So basically 9/10 would recommend! (9 cause I feel like some of the ‘flashbacks’ are a bit unnecessary, since not all of them deviate from the books, but that’s the only thing I have glanced at bit too long so far. Also that’s a pretty subjective thing because I know ppl who don’t/wouldn’t mind it at all. It also might be because I am very much used to fics leading the reader around with a carrot on a rod infront of their face— that is to say, fics who do the opposite of feeding you the plot. Personally I like a good balance because I’m not that good at deciphering cryptic hints in a story, even if I sometimes like it, but there are people who tend/sway to both sides.)
I really like the style it’s written in too and aside of a few small mistakes that, let’s be fair, everyone makes, the grammar and spelling’s pretty stellar too! Stayed up late to finish this, so thanks to the author for the food. Hope whoever sees this bookmark and decides to give it a chance enjoys it as much as I do/did!
(Holy Long Note. Though tbf while this is my first it’ll props not be my last. It’s on me that I’ve only recently started organizing my bookmarks properly)
