Summary
Lady Arianwyn Targaryen of Runestone was not born of love. Nor passion. Nor even a sense of duty. She was seeded by her father, the Rogue Prince Daemon Targaryen, in an act of unbridled hatred, and born of her mother, the late Lady Rhea Royce, as a desperate grasp at revenge.
With her mother dead and father flown across the Narrow Sea with a new wife, the girl is taken in by her Aunt, Queen Alicent Hightower, to be raised among the little family she has left. There, she finds her cousin, Prince Aemond Targaryen.
As they grow, the two find themselves indelibly bonded. But the seeds of disaster and strife were laid long before they were born, and as tensions in the family rise, it seems as though life will not be the fairy tale they imagined in their youth.
