Giles would recognize what voice out of a million. Even after decades.
He lowers his bat and just stares.“Will…” he whispers. This can’t be true.
“Is it just me, or did that vampire just called Giles ‘Love’?” Giles hears Xander in the background.
He can’t stop starring at Will. He looks like they just met yesterday and not two decades ago. His hair is a bit different. Shorter and blonder.“Giles?” Buffy asks carefully and it’s only now that Giles realizes everyone is starring at them.
“How? You… you look…” he starts, but then it hits him. Suddenly he feels sick. Will, William the Bloody, Spike. He said it himself; Spike was barely 200 years old. Will had been a vampire all this time.
