Egon has never really believed in soulmates. He has never had a mark, save for a cluster of freckles on the back of his right shoulder, and, despite all his research on it, there just isn't enough science. Even when Peter is going on and on about the girl of the day he's going out with and how she might be his soulmate, he's barely listening. Soulmates are stupid; he has more important things to do.
