Summary
Sometimes, Tommy finds himself morning the person he could’ve been.
“Dirty thief,” the man growls with animosity, teeth bared threateningly. He presses Tommy against the side of a shitty apartment building, his furious grip strong as iron. Calloused fingers dig into Tommy’s shoulder so hard he winces in pain, but he still doesn’t release the loaf of bread from his determined clutch. His whole body aches—from ravenousness, from the throbbing in his shoulder, and the aching in his back from the pressure of being held against a wall.
“It was only a piece of bread, sir,” Tommy mumbles desperately, trying to wiggle out of the man’s grasp. His attempts are futile. He puts on his best puppy eyes, an imitation of pure innocence. “I’m starving, y’know? There weren’t any other options for such a poor little boy like me—”
