Summary
Jason pauses, and the guy—definitely a couple years younger than Jason, messy black hair falling into his face, wearing an oversized hoodie that makes him look more underfed than stylish, novel still in hand—walks over. He's smiling as he flicks his fringe from his face just for it to fall back into his eyes immediately. There’s a beyond creased-up nametag sticker stuck crookedly to his chest, and Jason reads the big black letters scrawling Tim then the printed ones declaring hello, I’m just before the guy stops at the armchair, directly in front of Jason.
He’s still smiling, this amused tilt of his lips, as he says, “You know, there isn’t an age limit to storytime.” He seems more amused even as he says it, and his smile, annoyingly, looks increasingly like a smirk.
Or a no capes au with Jason as the tired college student—starring the rest of the batfam as the volunteers reading books in the children’s section of the library Bruce donates to.
