He waited a week. Then another. Then after his training on Sunday but before dinner, he was summoned to the mage library on one of the higher floors. He walked alone, picking at his fingernails and holding his poor-boy books under his arm. He felt like a toddler walking between those forests of tomes. He felt stupid because he couldn’t read half of them.
