Summary
At birth, Byleth was granted the gift of speaking to animals and a mastery of magic. However, he'd also been cursed twice, and only love can break these curses. At the behest of the good faeries, his mother and father allowed them to raise their son in a cottage in the woods while they looked on from afar. When Byleth was old enough, he quickly gained a reputation from the nearby village as a Witch for his skill with healing humans and beasts alike. He'd given up all hope of his curses ever being broken, but a chance encounter with an injured wolf in the forest may change the course of his fate for the better.
