Blackwood's in their rearview mirror, but the horrors crawl close behind them. Sam and Mike are at the center of the group's strength, but their relationship also happens to be the one thing that threatens their lives.

Sam swallowed, her smile spreading and she feigned swooning dramatically. “You’d simply be my hero,” she muttered with an exaggerated southern drawl.

Sam chuckled. “Why must you embark on said dick-kicking adventure?”
Mike tickled her nose with his, the contact sending bolts of nerves down to her toes. “Because he’s the first and only asshole who will ever make love to you.”
