Chapter III
–Mates–
July 1994
FG’s POV
Fenrir looked at Gena with a raised eyebrow.
“His soulmate his whom?” he asked.
He has read the pup’s blood test and seen the soul adoption, or whatever humans called it these days.
“Pup said that it was the Dark Lord’s name.”
“He was sure of it?” Fenrir asked just to make sure.
Gena nodded and Fenrir snorted. So that was the Dark Lord’s birth name that had appeared on the blood test.
“Alpha?” Gena asked and Fenrir nodded, giving her permission. “Pup stated that Hogwarts was the first place he ever felt at home.” Fenrir glared at her for the daring. “He misses his friends, I know I did.”
“That is uncalled for, Gena.” Fenrir hissed.
Gena lowered her head, her hair going forth and showing her neck in respect.
“I'm sorry, Alpha.”
Fenrir looked at the door that led to Harry’s room.
“Leave, Gena.” He stated and Gena started to leave the wigwam.
“Alpha?”
“I said…” Fenrir hissed turning towards her and showing his teeth.
“Sending the pup to Hogwarts may help you win your mate. Pup can enter in contact with him. And instead of the pup being turned against us the pup make your mate accept us.” Gena said too quickly for Fenrir to stop her and left the wigwam.
Fenrir followed her at once but his Beta was already at her side, keeping her under his tail.
“Whatever my pup did, I take full responsibility.” Beta stated.
Fenrir snarled.
“Gena, you need to learn to keep your opinions to yourself.” He threatened her and nodded his head at Beta who nodded back. “Take your cub from my view.”
Beta turned around and put his hand on Gena’s neck, a little too harshly and took her to his wigwam. Fenrir looked around to the other wolves who immediately dispersed. Gena was lucky that her mother was the Beta’s mate or Fenrir would have opened her neck open for her daring. She wasn’t a pup anymore, it was time Beta stopped treating her like one. Fenrir snarled and entered again only to see Harry at his own room’s door, peeking at him.
“No wonder Lupin refuses you with the way you treat other people as if they are luggage.” The pup hissed before entering his room again.
Fenrir tensed, his chest tightening at the mention of his mate’s refusal.

Harry’s POV
“Pup, pay attention!” Harry looked up to Gena and nodded with a blush, turning again to his schoolbooks. “Honestly, pup. Someone would think that after years you would learn to pay attention.” Gena reprimanded.
Harry smiled amused.
“3 years can’t be considered that much, can it?” he taunted with a small smirk at the corner of his mouth, looking up to his tutor.
“You’re almost off-age in wizardry counts, pup. You won’t be a pup forever.”
Harry shrugged and turned to the books again. 3 years. Three years since he had turned away from everything. He had left the Wizardry World behind and with that his friends. The only one he still had was Hedwig and even her he had to hide her from the most of the werewolves who would probably use her for dinner if he wasn’t careful. Harry glanced at Gena as she suddenly tensed.
“Gena?” he started.
Gena looked at him, her face feral.
“Room… Now!” She snarled.
Harry frowned but had lived long enough with the wolves to know better than to disobey when they growl like that. There were few things that made a wolf turn like that and if you weren’t a real cub then it wasn’t a good idea to stay in their presence. Harry entered his room and sat on his bed with Hedwig next to him, hugging his legs close to his chest as the owl was looking out the skin door.
“My Lord.” Harry heard from Fenrir as the werewolf entered the wigwam with someone.
Harry tensed immediately knowing who his Alpha was talking to. The Dark Lord, Lord Voldemort was there in person. That was why Gena had tensed, his dark magic must have a reaction on the wolves, a reaction that doesn’t have effect on Harry. Harry closed his eyes with strength. His parents’ killer was there. He was back. He really had managed to get a body back. He… Harry opened his eyes at hearing a flick of wings. Hedwig!
Harry stood and run after the owl that had left his room, only to tense and straighten up. Before him was no one but his Alpha and a white skinned man with snake nostrils in place for the nose and a lipless mouth, not to mention the red blood eyes in the shape of a cat. Alpha stood from the poofs he had in the common room and grabbed Hedwig before she would manage to leave the wigwam.
“Control your pet more carefully, pup.”
“Yes, Alpha.” Harry replied, keeping his head down and showing his neck like he’d seen Gena do multiple times.
Harry accepted his owl back, keeping her in his arms this time.
“Who may this be, Fenrir?” an icily cold voice asked that made Harry felt like a bucket of cold ice water had just washed over him.
“My Mate’s pup, my Lord. Pup, this is the Dark Lord, be respectful.”
Harry took everything in his will not to retort and bowed his head at Voldemort.
“My Lord.” He said in a cold detached voice.
“You’re Harry Potter.” Voldemort stated standing and approaching. “How can he be your mate’s pup if he is the child of James Potter, Fenrir?”
“Remus’ wolf accepted pup as his own pup. That’s all I need to claim him as a pup of the pack, my Lord.”
“You know what he symbolises.”
“Yes, he symbolise the child of a mate I am unable to claim.” Fenrir argued, putting a hand on Harry’s neck.
Harry had seen him doing it several times to know that this time it wasn’t in a caring manner but in a claiming manner. To show Voldemort what Harry was. Harry didn’t need to look up to see that Voldemort’s eyes narrowed.
“Harry, look at me.” Harry didn’t move. “Fenrir…” Voldemort snarled.
“Pup, do as he says.”
Harry looked up.
“You know who I am?”
“Dark Lord.” Harry answered in the same detached voice. “Alpha’s Lord.”
“You do know you aren’t a werewolf, don’t you?”
“I'm a pup; a human child of a werewolf.” Harry replied.
Voldemort frowned at Harry’s unnatural behaviour.
“Who are your parents?”
At the question Harry had to take all his power not to let his face react and to keep the nonchalant facial expression and the detached voice.
“Alpha and Moony.” He replied.
“Who are James and Lily Potter?”
Harry opened his mouth and closed it, unsure what to answer. Seeing Voldemort’s face of triumph at seeing under Harry’s mask, Harry turned to Fenrir still grabbing his neck with a puzzled face.
“Alpha?” he asked, letting a confused tone get to his voice.
Fenrir smiled, he obviously knew what Harry was doing.
“They’re humans who fought in the war against the Dark Lord. Enemies.”
Harry hummed and turned to Voldemort ready to answer but the man shook his head, shutting him up.
“You may return to your room.”
Harry bowed his head and waited until Alpha took his hand form his neck before daring to leave to his room. As soon as he entered he heard Voldemort speak.
“What kind of brainwash did you do to him?”
Harry smirked, finally letting the mask leave his face. It had worked!
“I limited to raise him as a werewolf’s pup. His muggle family had really mistreated him before I took him in.”
“What you intend on doing with him when he gets to adulthood?”
“Contact his mate and make sure he’ll be well taken care of. My mate may have refused me, but he still wouldn’t forgive me if something happened to the pup.”
Harry sat on his bed with Hedwig still on his arms.
“Who is his mate?” Voldemort asked and Harry wondered the same. He didn’t remember any talk with alpha about a mate… “He is human, it’s not as easy as werewolves to find the mate.”
“It was on his blood test.” Harry’s eyes grew, looking up to the door. Surely alpha couldn’t mean… “But of course his mate won’t step close to him if I'm not sure my pup won’t get hurt!” Fenrir added in a threatening manner.
“Who is it?”
“You humans call it soul adoption. We call it soul mating, my Lord. Whatever you did, I still have a stronger claim over him.”
Harry took a hand to his mouth to suppress a scream. He couldn’t believe that Fenrir had just delivered him to…
“You’re insinuating that I, in some kind of way, claimed Harry, your pup, in a soul manner?”
“Indeed, my Lord.”
Voldemort hummed. Harry felt like banging his head against something hard. NO! He didn’t want Voldemort, thank you very much!
“Is a courtship required?”
Harry’s eyes grew. Voldemort couldn’t actually mean… even several minutes ago he’d been ready to kill Harry! Where was that wish to kill? Besides Harry was certainly not the man’s type… obviously!
“As you mentioned, my Lord, pup is not a wolf. He will refuse the mating without proper courtship.”
Voldemort chuckled.
“Doesn’t he do everything you tell him to do?”
“He obeys me, my Lord, but he still is just a pup. He is not forced to obey every order I give him.”

There had to be some way some kind of way to make Voldemort stop whatever courting he had started, surely with Harry being a non-responsive detached the man would end up getting bored of him.
“So alpha sold you off…” Gena commented amused, only to make Harry glare at her. “I wonder what alpha’s mate would think of this mating…” she added with a wink, before turning back to tutoring.
Harry frowned as Gena put a parchment and a quill before his hand as she spoke about some boring goblin rebellion. Finally understanding Harry pretended to take notes as he wrote Lupin a letter about Fenrir practically selling him off to Voldemort. Gena was right, the only thing that would make Fenrir even reconsider was the mention of Lupin.

RJL’s POV
Remus looked up at hearing an owl only to see Hedwig approaching his house. Remus smiled and hastened to go open the owl a window. When it arrived, it gave Remus it’s letter and Remus offered it some owl biscuits and water, before turning to Harry’s letter. Remus wondered what Greyback had done, last couple of times Harry had said something if had been because Greyback had taken him in, or refused to let him return to Hogwarts. Uncoiling the parchment, he read it.
Remus
Early today midway my tutoring classes, Gena told me to go to my room before leaving the wigwam. Not long later Alpha entered with a man we both know as Lord Voldemort.
Remus tensed fearing for the worse.
Alpha told him about the soul adoption… - which he insists on calling soul mating claim - what means that dear Dark Lord now is going to start courting me… as if my life wasn’t strange otherwise.
Wish you were here to bang some sense into alpha’s head…
Love
Your Pup
Remus groaned. What in the moon was his sire thinking?
Ps: If you ask Hedwig nicely… and make sure you aren’t followed… she can guide you - on a broom - to where I am. *winks*
Remus chuckled. That little marauder.
“Okay then.” He stood and quickly and efficiently packed his lack of things into his trunk and shrunken it pocketing it on his pocket, before grabbing his broom. “Hedwig?”
The owl peeked up, before flying out the window with Remus after it. It was his Pup, Alpha really had some explaining to do with the way he treated Remus’ pup. There was no way Remus wouldn’t take the boy from the pack, he had more rights over the boy than Greyback ever did! Even if Greyback really was Remus’ Lord, the boy was still Remus’ pup, not Alpha’s.
