I sobbed through this entire fic AUGHH
I think the themes of love and loss and obligation and guilt and acceptance really resonate as someone with a big immigrant family like it really is about letting everything you knew go and vehemently loving the new because you have to, because to survive you have to love. you've only made it this far because of being loved and loving in return
