Summary
Jason tries to find some semblance of balance by striking out on his own as a mercenary, far away from Gotham and any of its Bats. He tries to find himself along the way too, figuring out a life without begging for their love.
He doesn't expect to find Hal Jordan in the process. Over and over again, until together, they find a lot more and Jason learns love doesn't have to come with rules. And more importantly, it doesn't have to hurt.
Or: the five times Jason ran into Hal while he was working, and the one time he found the bravery to call for Hal.
