Summary
Youngjae had always known Kim Dohoon was crazy, it’s sort of an open secret on campus, but this might take the cake for it all. The thing about Kim Dohoon is that he’s always been sort of aloof and all-knowing at the same time. There’s a balanced charm in everything he says and does that makes everyone fall victim to his bright eyes and boyish grin. Youngjae is no immortal, but he prides himself on never subjecting to the way society falls at Dohoon’s feet. Even his most ridiculous ideas would probably be supported if he smiled with just enough teeth.
Youngjae, however, is not as fickle-minded as the rest of society, which is why he only blinks at Dohoon before his jaw loosens in disbelief.
“You’re not serious,” he tells Dohoon morbidly.
“Why wouldn’t I be?” Dohoon pouts, blinking back at Youngjae.
“Because,” Youngjae sighs, finally looking right into Dohoon’s eyes. “You can’t just— that’s not— You want to date me?”
“Why not?” Dohoon presses. “Besides,” he says lightly, “it’s not like we’d be dating for real.”

Summary
“Everyone knows you and Jaemin are…” Donghyuck waves a hand around in an obnoxious pretense of finding the right words. “Different.”
“Different.” Renjun’s echo is a faint thing, lost in his confusion. Donghyuck moves and the sheets rustle with his movement. Renjun’s throat feels awfully dry when he speaks again. “What’s different?”
“Oh, you know,” Donghyuck says loosely. “Just different.”
“I don’t know,” Renjun says defensively.
“He gets you,” Donghyuck says, like it’s the easiest concept ever. “And you get him.”
He says it as if it’s a given. Something guaranteed without a doubt: The Earth is round. Seasons come and go. Renjun and Jaemin just get each other.

Summary
“You bought a cat, Jaemin,” he says. “Why?”
Jaemin grins, slow and steady. His eyes gleam. “I did. She’s just the most adorable little thing, Injunnie. Isn’t she just like milk—?”“—you hate milk—”
“—and we’re not really getting any younger, Injun-ah.”
Renjun is aghast. “We’re twenty-five, Jaemin—”
“Jisung’s friend even gave me a discount! And she showed me the photos of her mother and in a few weeks Luna’s grey fur will start to come in—and it’s like practice for when we have a child!”
Alternatively: Five things that change in Jaemin and Renjun's routine when Jaemin adopts a cat. (Plus the temporary change that Jaemin wasn't supposed to find out about).

Summary
Renjun's ankle injury pushes him out of the mid-term ballet recital. Donghyuck's boyfriend's roommate is a med student-top of his class, infuriatingly gorgeous, and somehow the answer to all of Renjun's problems.
Alternatively: Things come to Huang Renjun in waves. Na Jaemin comes to him like one disastrous tsunami.

Summary
All he feels when Wonjin pushes him against the cool metal in the back of the diner, or when he steals a kiss under the moonlight when their friends aren’t watching, or when they have to slow down because Jungmo is not walking out of Wonjin’s house with an obvious discomfort in his jeans-all Jungmo can think is that he is enjoying himself.
It’s easy to get lost in it, the same way it’s easy to get lost in stargazing or Wonjin’s eyes, and Jungmo’s always been an all or nothing type of guy. So he gets lost in the fun and seems to forget there’s a way out of his self-inflicted maze.

Summary
“We don’t have any outfit fittings for another…” He lifts his phone, looking at his calendar, “2 weeks, there’s plenty of time for it to fade before then.”
The information seems to bring no comfort to Youngjae, his white tees wrinkling in the firm grip that grounds him.
“It’s not–” Youngjae huffs, “What if Junghwan-hyung sees?”
The sudden mention of their oldest takes Dohoon aback, eyes blinking rapidly in bewilderment. He scoffs, ignoring the stinging ache in his chest. Is that what it’s all about?
Dohoon had long pondered about their mess, letting Youngjae take the most out of him. He's just hoping that when the time comes, he will let him down slowly.

Summary
Youngjae has never really been good with time, anyway– what’s a few seconds, hours, days, months, even years, when you have twenty centuries of existence and counting?
Truly, he’s never had any issue with time, only that it moves too quickly whenever he is with Kim Dohoon.
Because Youngjae has waited for the past two thousand years for fate, with its red string and impossible-to-resist power, to bring Kim Dohoon back into his life once more. Too many times, he’s followed wherever it demands– only to find out that he’s too late, Dohoon either gone or his pulse fading under Youngjae’s fingers. Inevitably, fate always leaves Youngjae helpless to watch an un-remembering Dohoon be reborn into a hundred different new lives.
As a stranger.

Youngjae swears he can handle his feelings for Dohoon alone, until they become too big to keep inside him (or maybe it’s only a matter of who explodes first.)

Summary
For the millionth time, Youngjae says, let’s break up, and for the millionth time, too, Dohoon says, no, I don’t think we should.
And, yeah—they would never have reached a million if Youngjae didn’t always let Dohoon win.
