“Hey, Ajax?” Kaeya reaches out to lay a hand on Ajax’s biceps. It’s hot to the touch.
Ajax lets out a breathless little laugh. “Sorry, Kae. ‘m fine, don’t worry. I’ve had worse.” He pulls back to stand properly, but as he opens his mouth, his eyes glaze over. His mouth closes and opens a few more times before he, very unelegantly, bumps against Kaeya again. Heavily.
Kaeya scrambles to press a hand against Ajax’s forehead. He’s burning up. “Well, aren’t you warm."
“... Hm? Oh… am I? Hah, funny…” Ajax’s voice trails off, and Kaeya has approximately three seconds to dig his heels into the sand before Ajax’s entire weight is placed between his arms and his forehead drops against Kaeya’s shoulder, utterly dead to the world.

The upside is that a little prayer to Barbatos can change the winds and bring the temperature you’d like. The downside is that weather forecasts are a myth — the citizens of Mondstadt never know what to expect. One day, it’ll be hot as hell, but if it then blows from the south, the cold air from Dragonspine will be brought over and it’ll be chilly again.
See, Mondstadtian citizens, they know this. They’re used to the unpredictability, and when they go out, they bring both a long– and a shortsleeved shirt because they don’t know when the winds will change. Take Kaeya, for example; he’s ditched his usual uniform for something with simpler layers, a short-sleeved shirt and then a turtleneck to pull over if the weather changes. He puts on sunscreen on cloudy mornings because he knows the sky might clear in an instant, and he has an umbrella ready in the corner of his office. Every other child of Mondstadt behaves in the same way; or, well, if they’re not too lazy. But they know that they should.

That’s what he did after the dance, you know? He took me back to his chambers and insisted on engaging in this—this stupid plan.”
“How fascinating,” Albedo hums, “That’s what I hear most talking about, believe it or not.”
“About what?”
“Many, many reports of how King Barbatos looked while you danced,” Albedo sighs. “In all of my time in Mondstadt, I’ve never heard of our king looking so…” He shudders. “So angry.”
“That’s because Venti can’t separate what we’re doing from reality,” Xiao says with a frown, wiping the tears from his face again. “He looks at me and he sees Morax, Albedo. He sees my ex-lord. He sees the person he really wants to be holding at night, not me.”

just so happened that, unfortunately for Diluc, a guest from Fontaine happened to be approaching the bar for a refill on one of his drinks. At hearing Kaeya very sound declaration of ‘the love of his life,’ he gave one glance to Kaeya, then to Diluc, and his expression filled with such mixed disgust that Diluc was absolutely sure that was going to be a business deal that never went through.

A/n After reading many "Red Gloves catching cats" fics on Lofter (with MTL) and here as well, I decided to try my hand at it. At the same time, most of the fics that I've read involved the Gehrman Sparrow persona as the one being caught. And don't get me wrong, I do like those very much so, but where is my Sherlock? There's a severe lack of fics where Sherlock is the one that gets caught or discovered by the Church.
Once inside, he received the biggest shock he could get. Archbishop Stevenson had told him that the Goddess just gave an oracle: Klein Moretti is Her Blessed! Do not question his resurrection! Have him join the Red Gloves.
Now he had to go back to the Chanis Gate and release Mr.Moretti. To think they imprisoned and were about to interrogate a Blessed of the Goddess

Anyone who did not immediately light up in Rhaegel’s presence was not to be trusted, and Maekar had used that reasoning to argue that he had been justified in starting countless fights when they were boys.
Alright, what exactly happened at Ashford and who do I need to execute?” The King sounded more dangerous than Maekar could remember ever hearing him, a far cry from the usually even-tempered man who he had remembered.
