Hey,” Jisung said. “How was class? I didn’t hear from you.”
“Had to leave,” Hyunjin said. “My lecturer is going to set up grievance exemption or something for me. I told her my friend died.”
“Oh, Hyunjinnie,” Jisung said sympathetically, reaching out to squeeze Hyunjin’s hand. “I suppose that’s better though. It’ll give you some time to get back on your feet.”
“The voices aren’t going away, Sung,” Hyunjin said. He took out his earbuds so only the angels were talking over Jisung’s voice. “I think this is forever.”
“It’s only been a few weeks,” Jisung said. “You don’t know that. Maybe they’ll fade out. Maybe you can get help-”
“That won’t work,” Hyunjin cut him off. “They’ll say I’m mad. I am mad. I can hear angels, Sung. The only time I don’t is when Jeongin holds my hand.”
