Summary
"Where were you last night, Mateo?"
Huh? Eddie head spins around, looking for Buck's apparently dastardly lover that he's just hearing of now, only to be greeted by unperturbed shoppers who continue to push their carts down the hallway.
His eyes snap back to Buck and he leans over the countertop. "Who the hell is Mateo?"
"Don't play dumb with me! I heard you come home at three o'clock in the morning, stumbling through the hallway," says Buck with narrowed eyes and a smirk on his face.
"What on earth is happening right now."
"Just play along!" Buck whispers back, grinning wide.
Eddie's brow furrows before the pieces click together. Buck's messing with him, playing house. An apparently very dysfunctional one at that. All without Eddie's signature on the metaphorical deed.
Eddie's mouth turns up into a smile against his will. Overwhelmed with fondness for his idiot best friend. He stands up—chest puffing.
"I was working. Putting food on the table. Is that a problem?"
Buck and Eddie fake a fight in an IKEA kitchen display for fun. It gets realer then they both ever intended.

Summary
Alright, so Buck is definitely in love with his best friend. But with a four-year-old running circles around him, remnants of pancake stuffed in his mouth and maple syrup slathered impossibly across his entire face, Buck really doesn't have time to think about that right now.
So he does what every responsible adult with any sort of structure in their life would - he schedules his mental breakdown for a later date. Pulling out his phone, he navigates deftly to his calendar, and eyes a free day a little over a month from now. October 15th, as good a date as any, he supposes. He blocks out a 3 hour time slot with an event titled 'Process the fact that I'm in love with Eddie', and swipes the app away without a second thought.
Or; Buck forgets that his Google calendar is shared with Eddie.

Summary
Evan picked up the phone and Eddie’s voice filtered through the other end of the phone,
“Hey, darlin’.”Tommy's attention shifted back toward him, he couldn’t help it. Not when Evan didn’t even blink.
And really, It wasn't the word itself that caught him. It was the way Eddie said it, completely naturally, as though he'd said that over the phone that way a thousand times before. There was no hesitation, no teasing tone. Just easy familiarity.
Or Buddie through Tommy’s perspective

Summary
Buck drops his voice low and asks, “So what’s going on? She’s having a tantrum because you shaved?”
“It’s not quite a tantrum, but she’s not happy with me,” Eddie says quietly. His face twists in frustration for a moment, then he shakes it off. A telltale sign.
“Baby, don’t cry,” Buck says, half amusement and half concern. He drops a quick kiss to Eddie’s lips. “She’ll get over it.”
“I know,” Eddie sighs. “But she keeps saying I’m ‘not her Papá’ and to ‘put it back.’” He tilts his head back and exhales. “Buck, I can’t put it back.”
Buck and Eddie's daughter sees Eddie without a mustache for the first time ever... She's not a fan.
