Just a Little BotPilot by Gimme_a_Hand_Scaevola

Summary
ART and Murderbot are alone on a mission and have cornered a corporate ship and are preparing killware to bring it down. They are the only ones who know the location of a forgotten planet the CR is hungry to re-colonize, making it a priority to stop them before they can get back to the CR.
Unfortunately, the underpowered little botpilot on the corporate ship has a weapon neither of them are prepared for: clips of its favorite serials begging for mercy.

Extremely unserious. I made a tumblr post this morning and then went rogue and wrote a little fic after work.

Positive Representation, Complex Emotions, and a Fictional but Semi-Heroic SecUnit in Media by BlatantBookworm

Summary
I don’t normally pay that much attention to the credits. In general, I tend to care more about the fictional characters than the real humans playing them, but this had caught my attention.
I mean, it wasn't the first serial that ever put in a SecUnit as a villain instead of a prop. RihaniLane Street had actually made their SecUnit villain sympathetic before it tried to kill everyone. And obviously this fictional SecUnit was going to be a villain, too, because they always were, but that scene was —
The credits said ‘Made and Produced in GoodNightLander Independent.’
Oh.-
Or, Murderbot has feelings about finding positive representation.
Mostly positive.
Even when humans try, they get SecUnits wrong in media.
(Not the murder, the murders were justified, but the writers made the fictional SecUnit like cubicles)
(It’s still pretty positive.)Series

Summary
There was a Tumblr post I saw that was poking holes in Murderbot’s whole "I don't eat food, I don't produce waste, I'm not human with human needs, yada yada yada” attitude. They theorized that Murderbot’s cubicle acted like a dialysis machine that recharged its not-blood with all the things a biologically alive thing needs to stay alive. Well, Murderbot hasn't exactly been in contact with a cubicle for a while now has it? ART has come up with a fun (for it) way to solve that problem.
