One day, the details of Ser Duncan the Tall might slip away from Tanselle's mind. The specific shade of his eyes, the rumble of his voice. Withered away by distance and time. But each stroke of that sigil is recorded by the muscle memory of her hand, and it might just be the thing that outlasts them both.
