While gathering information to write a paper on devils disguised as buildings, Asa Mitaka is trapped inside a devil disguised as a building. How ironic. And it’s just her luck that she’s stuck with Denji of all people.
Unfortunately for them, this devil is nothing like the Eternity Devil or the House Devil. It’s much much worse. The devil digs up their worst memories. But what purpose does it have showing Asa Denji's past? Or showing Denji Asa's past? What does it want? What is it doing? Maybe the answer is at the end of the hallway. The question is, how many doors will they have to walk through to get there?

It’s 7:06AM and the phone on the right is ringing. Asa blinks again, the clock on the wall still reads 7:06AM, still in the morning.
Asa doesn’t want to drag herself out of bed at 7:06AM for the business phone, but Denji, Nayuta, and the dogs are probably still asleep. Besides, today is the day she promised to do something to shake up their household dynamic.
“Mhmm… hello, you’ve reach the- uh… Chainsaw Man’s Devils and other anomalies solution agency, how can I help you?”Asa sees a potential partnership with Denji Devil hunting in the private sector. They've only moved in together to save on rent.

Unfortunately for them, Makima and Public Safety were already pursuing the War Devil. Now Asa is caught in between an invasive devil inhabiting her body, Makima's machinations, the dangers of Public Safety, and the normal life that her mother wanted her to live.

Summary

Denji is a young man living his teens to the fullest, fulfilling his earthly wishes. But underneath the laid-back facade hide years of pent-up trauma, that he so desperately tries to escape. Luckily, when he puts on the mask of the Chainsaw Man, everyone sees him as a hero.Two lonely souls wander this broken world, unaware that their fates are about to intertwine.
Will they survive the collision?The ending of CSM part II made me create an AO3 account. Wanted to do an alt-ending, ended up with a complete rewrite of CSM part II. The rewrite focuses on the love story between Asa and Denji, treading a lot of ground differently from the manga, fleshing out the characters and the world a bit more. The story attempts to tread the spiritual way of the original, with the comedic blending into the horrific.
