God.
He looks really, really good, and frankly, Yoongi is just the tiniest bit offended. The last time he saw Taehyung he was this tall, lanky boy with huge ears that made his head look ridiculously tiny. Yoongi remembers him as the gangly kid, unable to keep his mouth shut even if his life depended on it, who could get knocked over by a stronger gust of wind. Now he has apparently grown into those stupid ears of his and his chest looks so broad and firm that Yoongi has to sit on his hands to physically stop himself from reaching out and touching it to make sure it's real. This— this asshole also got himself piercings and what looks like a leather jacket and that is just… unacceptable. What happened to Yoongi's little annoying neighborhood friend?

Summary
At first Namjoon thinks the place is empty, which is not surprising because ice skating isn’t exactly a popular summer sport. The lights are dimmed and there’s no music playing from the speakers and for a brief second an irrational thought that Jimin lured him here to trick him crosses Namjoon’s mind. When he notices the boy standing near the entrance to the rink and recognizes him, he realizes he’d much rather prefer being tricked over whatever is going to happen now.
“That’s not your friend!” Namjoon hisses, grabbing onto Jimin’s sleeve, trying to pull him back. “That’s Kim Taehyung!”
Jimin glances at him briefly over his shoulder, a small, amused smile dancing on his lips.
“Yeah, people can be many things at once, you know?” he asks, raising his eyebrows.
Out of all people Kim Taehyung definitely is the one containing multitudes, Namjoon catches himself thinking.

“No, it’s fine,” Taehyung interrupted him, circling his fingers around Jimin’s wrist and squeezing reassuringly. “It’s just a few days, I’ll be okay.”
It was the furthest thing from truth, though. Christmas was always his favorite holiday and in his mind, it was irreversibly connected to home and family and watching silly Christmas movies with a mug of hot chocolate in his hand and his puppy, Yeontan, in his lap. He was hoping that maybe at least one of his friends would be staying in school too, but that hope quickly vanished when he checked the list in the common room and saw no familiar names. Well, he saw one familiar name but it belonged to someone Taehyung had never spoken to, so it didn’t matter anyway.
As if he could read Taehyung’s mind, Jimin spoke up again:
“I noticed that Yoongi is staying at Hogwarts too.”
(Taehyung spends his Christmas at Hogwarts and makes a new friend)

“Oh, um… okay,” Jungkook said slowly. “It’s just… my friend works there.”
Hoseok cringed, his face scrunching up in a scowl.
“Oh shit. Maybe don’t tell Yoongi that,” he said, like there was a possibility Jungkook might entertain that idea after seeing his reaction earlier. “Out of curiosity, who’s your friend?”
“Kim Taehyung.”
“Oh.” Hoseok nodded, stayed silent for a heartbeat and then did such a spectacular double take Jungkook almost yelped. “Oh fuck, definitely don’t tell Yoongi. He hates that guy’s guts.”
“Tae never really mentioned Yoongi,” he said, drawing his eyebrows together, trying to remember everything Taehyung has ever told him about the other store. “he just said Zodiac has the shittiest, most annoying manager he’s ever— oh, wait.”
“Yup,” Hoseok said with a half sour, half amused smile. “Yoongi got promoted like two months ago.”
(Taehyung and Yoongi are managers in rival cafes, Jungkook is suffering)

Summary
“What?” he asks, slowly, giving Taehyung a chance to change his mind about what he’s offering.
Taehyung doesn’t take it. He probably doesn’t even notice it, because he’s a do first, think later type of person when it comes to his brilliant stoned ideas and Jimin should know better, should stop him, but… well. He doesn’t dare name it even in his own mind but if Taehyung is proposing what he thinks he is, stopping him is the very last thing Jimin wants.
“Let’s make out,” Taehyung says, putting the bowl away, sounding ceremonious and completely, absolutely serious. “Prove me wrong.”
(Taehyung doesn't believe making out is better than sex, so Jimin takes it upon himself to convince him)
