The question slipped out quietly, almost swallowed by the stillness of the room. It wasn’t dramatic. It wasn’t rehearsed. It was uncertain in a way he rarely allowed himself to be.

If he truly wanted to protect himself, he could dismiss this. Emotions bled over sometimes. It happened. Time would smooth it out.
But the thought of waking up one day and no longer feeling that warmth when she said his name—no longer feeling that subtle shift in his chest when she stood just a little too close—made something in him twist uncomfortably.
He didn’t want it to fade.
He didn’t want those almost-moments—the half-second hesitations, the softened looks, the unspoken tension—to dissolve into something ordinary and forgettable. He didn’t want the memory of that final scene to become just another performance archived neatly in his mind.

After weeks of hidden feelings and near misses, Tsukasa and Nene find themselves somewhere between courage and hesitation. One afternoon might answer everything—or reveal how much they still have to discover.
