Summary

Summary
Chimney sighed. “Well, man, like I said earlier, of course you can bring him.” Hen watched her best friend deflate into the couch cushions, eyes drifting to the ceiling. “Man, I was not expecting this Eddie Diaz lore drop today.” He turned back to Eddie. “Got any more secret family announcements in your pocket?”
“...can I bring my kids?”
“Your WHAT-”

Summary
He reaches out, takes Tommy’s hand in his and smiles, soft and trembling.
Tommy looks taken aback, but doesn’t pull away. Doesn’t return the squeeze Buck offers him either, though.
“O-Okay, that’s— yeah, I’ll—” Bile crawls up Buck’s throat, discomfort burning along his esophagus. He doesn’t know why. “I could just move in with you.”
Tommy blinks. Blinks again. The pause he leaves is purposeful, weighty. He leaves Buck waiting there, unsure, still holding his hand. Then, “You’d give up your loft for me.”
OR: Buck moves in with Tommy. And then moves out again. Somewhere along the way, he rediscovers the meaning of home.

Summary
“I mean, hell, kid, you’re basically raising a kid together already.”
Buck’s eyes widened visibly at that, because… what the hell? Because now, he was more confused than before, but also… things were clicking. They just weren’t clicking in a way that made it any less confusing.
“Wait, wait. Wait wait wait.” Buck’s hands raised, and he was finally still. “I’m… I’m talking about Tommy Kinard. Who are you talking about?” It was a dumb question, and Buck knew it was, because the mention of coparenting could only relate to one person, and the notion of him trying to get someone’s attention… and the army thing… it…
“Oh.” Bobby’s mouth was tightly shut, looking a little more bashful than Buck had seen him… possibly ever. “I seem to have misunderstood.”

Summary
Buck pushes his way through the crowd and lifts the crying baby into his arms, coat and all. A folded piece of paper falls out and Chimney bends to pick it up. It’s her birth certificate from Cedars-Sinai, and every line is blank except for where the father’s name goes.
In a shaky scrawl that could be no one’s but that poor teenage girl’s, Iliana has written Firefighter Buckley.
They all look at him. Buck looks down at the baby, angry and red and so tiny in his turnout coat.
"Oh."
or, Buck wants a baby. Naturally, the universe gives him one.
