Summary
When her Master's sword arrives on Clorinde's doorstep, the duty before her seems simple. Navia, however, isn't willing to let Clorinde write her Master off without more closure. As they follow Petronilla's trail into the foggy forests and hidden waters of Erinnyes, they find that her work there is yet unfinished, and that her fate had much more to do with Clorinde than they could have thought.

Summary
“I noticed something.” The mirth in her lips returns. Columbina leans closer. “You never once called me those… flowery names I call you. Beloved, dearest, my love… Is it something I should worry about?”
“What are you on this time?” Sandrone snarks back.
Columbina makes a face. “I’ve improved in reading between the lines, actually. What I’m hearing now is…” She pauses, as if to piece the words together, “…’I haven’t changed a bit since I got married because Columbina isn’t worth the improvement.’”
Sandrone sits up. “What?! That is a far-fetched conclusion even I haven’t thought of!”
With the Tsaritsa's blessing, Sandrone retires from her Harbinger status and returns to Nod-Krai to meet with Columbina, while continuing to pursue her personal affairs and projects as an accomplished engineer. Some time after, they both decide it’s a wonderful time to settle down and live their lives side-by-side as Hyposelenia-Guillotins.

Summary
“Do you…” she found herself starting again, before hesitating, because it was of no consequence to her, and Sandrone always followed logic more than anything else. But she was so curious, her gears halting and then erratically speeding up in a pattern she didn’t recognize. She needed to ask, if only to ebb this uneasy and vulnerable feeling away. “...Do you also stay in her room like you do with mine?”
Columbina stopped eating, surprised by the question. She had no idea about the suffocating feeling in Sandrone's chest that accompanied her as she waited for her answer in a bated breath. “No,” she eventually replied. “I only stay in your room, I feel most comfortable here with you.”
Sandrone was a clockwork doll, and Columbina was a moon goddess. Both were living solitary lives before they met, both unable to experience emotions the way ordinary humans could. Yet, somehow, their paths converged and the foundations of everything Sandrone thought she knew crumbled to the ground.
(or, how Sandrone and Columbina learned about love through the centuries.)

Summary
It is strange, how Sir Frederica seems both entirely changed yet somehow no different than when Eula last saw her. Her hair, which is still up in a tight bun, is now almost entirely grey. The crow’s feet around her eyes have deepened, as have the severe lines around her mouth, but the set of her jaw is exactly as Eula remembers. Her eyes are still devastatingly blue.
Sir Frederica takes a long drag of her cigarette, the ember glowing in the dim tavern light. “I am retired, Sir Eula,” she says, her voice low but clear, “as you may or may not have heard.”
10 years after the end of the world, Eula sets out to find an old ally who does not want to be found.
