Summary
After having lost everything and everyone he knew or cared about, Harry crosses through the Veil. When he steps back out again, he finds himself in London during the early 1940s.
Knowing that his presence alone means that the future has been changed, Harry's chance encounter with a young Tom Riddle makes him decide to lean into it. After all, who could stop him? It's not like anything could truly threaten the Master of Death.

When Harry is a child, a head injury creates a bridge between his mind and Mort, a passenger in his mind and magic that he had no idea existed until then. Harry and Mort form a fast companionship based on a mutual hatred for Harry's muggle relatives that quickly develops into something much stronger and much closer.

Summary
Tom had always considered it particularly petty on Albus Dumbledore’s part in assigning Tom to be the one to introduce muggleborn first years to Hogwarts. He was sure that Albus thought it was some sort of teaching moment, exposing Tom to muggles repeatedly as though he’d gain some sort of empathy and moral epiphany whenever he met a half-decent parent.
However, it didn’t matter how many muggles he met or how many of them actually tried to be a decent parent to their magical children. There were more failures than successes, more broken homes and troubled children than not.
And it seemed to be getting worse every year.

Summary
For fourteen years, the wizarding world believed that Neville Longbottom was the Boy-Who-Lived. After all, Voldemort vanished after attacking two families on the same night, everyone assumed he had chosen the pureblood Longbottoms as his target. Neville grew up carrying the weight of a legend he could never quite live up to.
Then, in the Little Hangleton graveyard, Voldemort takes one look at Neville and laughs.
