Summary
A story in which Rhaenyra loves all her half-siblings, but understands that they pose a great threat to her future ascension to the Throne. Her father is blind and reluctant to admit existence of the problem, her stepmother is ambitions and wishes to see her own blood on the throne. Despite Daemon’s suggestion to get rid of Rhaenyra’s half-brothers, she chooses another path: let the boys live, let them serve the realm, but so that they will not have the slightest chance to dispute Rhaenyra’s own claim to the throne.

"Kepus?" she asked. He moved quickly, readying his riding leathers "What is the matter?"
"I have been exiled" he answered as calmly as he could, there was no need to alarm her.
"What? Why? No, father can't- I will talk to him" she tried to stand up but he stopped her.
"No, listen" gently he grabbed her hands "Your father wants me in the Vale but I will be in Dragonstone. If you need anything just write to me and if you cannot then use the tunnels. There is a large passway that leads to the pit, saddle Syrax and come meet me. Promise me you will come to me if you need anything."
His niece nodded before throwing her arms around his neck to embrace him. Daemon rubbed her back, the poor girl was sobbing once again.
"I promise" she whispered.
“Who can presume to know the heart of a dragon?”

Green.
It had never been her favorite color. In truth, it failed to reach higher than vague appraisal among the known hues of the established rainbow. The shades were too muted, too rooted in nature to obtain anything more than a simple passing appreciation for the pigment.
And nature had not been so kind to her in the past.
Perhaps it was too nonsensical to put such feelings and thoughts onto one specific color. After all, they were just a variety of different tints used to resemble the vibrant blooming of the world. They were harmless.
Or, at least, they had been.
But as Rhaenyra Targaryen stared down the length of the Great Hall, at the lithe, pale figure of Alicent Hightower striding toward the High Table, she realized the color had become so much more than a thing for admiration.
It had now become a symbol of war.
Or, in which, Rhaenyra Targaryen watches Alicent Hightower declare war in her green dress and finally reaches her breaking point.
