Magyar Péter a kormányváltást követő szeptember elején egy kiszivárgott hangfelvételen azt mondja: "Nem érdekel, hívjatok ide, akit akartok, de Radnai Márknak nem adok interjút."
A rendszerváltás 50 napját bemutató dokumentumfilmet mégis Márk rendezi, már ha a forgatás során nem ölik meg egymást. Ebben senki sem biztos, ők maguk sem.

Summary
The problem with desire is that it makes him pathetic. When he wants, it's always so fucking much. It's embarrassing how much he would beg, borrow, and steal to get it, whatever it is. But Roman likes it, the flirting, the teasing, the push-and-pull and the give-and-take, the banter of it all. Not only does he like it, but he participates right from the beginning, too, so there's nowhere to go from here but up or crashing down. The more they got to lose, the more alluring this all gets. Mencken has a whole presidency to lose, so this - what they have now - should be enough. It isn't though.
Or everything that happened between Virginia and New York. Roman asks Mencken to come to the wake, and he does.

Summary
Sometimes you have to let sleeping dogs lie. Not everything has to be talked about. Roman will joke about it, though - of course, he will. But it's not like it means anything. He's just fuckin around. And he will continue to do so until someone shuts a door in his face.
Roman can't put his fingers on it - or... he doesn't really want to, but there's something about closed doors.

The President, unlike Roman, isn’t on his phone—he’s reading some tome of a biography on Andrew Jackson or Andrew Johnson or some other meaningless, forgetful figurehead fortified in history by the same means as Mencken. Mencken’s into it—hard. History, legacy, the city upon a hill, manifest destiny and the whole shebang.
Frankly, Roman’s more interested in banging.
